Ridolfi hired Julaine Fleetwood as business development manager, a newly created position that focuses on client services and business development. Fleetwood has 20 years of experience in strategic planning, growth and diversification strategy, organizational management, and client and marketing services for the engineering and sustainability industries. Ridolfi is a Seattle-based environmental engineering and scientific consulting firm.

GeoEngineers

Brock
Baker
GeoEngineers hired Dan Baker as principal, Carla Brock as environmental geologist and Chris Brown as staff environmental geologist with the environmental team. Baker is a hydrogeologist with 20 years of environmental investigation and remediation experience. He has led investigations and cleanups at sites affected by industrial activities. His work includes sites contaminated by manufactured gas plant residuals, and those affected by petroleum, chlorinated solvents and wood treatment chemicals and other contaminants. Brock has 10 years of experience in hydrogeologic investigation and characterization, contaminant fate and transport evaluation, and characterization and remediation of solvent-contaminated sites. She will work on large projects in the Puget Sound region. Brown has five years of experience in field inspection, groundwater sampling and soil testing. Seattle-based GeoEngineers is an earth science, engineering and technology firm.

All Star Directories

All Star Directories, a publisher of online and career school directories, hired Mark Klebanoff as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Klebanoff has 20 years of executive technology experience and has worked at Daptiv, M:Metrics, AccessLine and RealNetworks.

Virginia Mason Medical Center

Virginia Mason Medical Center said its hospital addition will be named the Floyd & Delores Jones Pavilion. The addition will have a new emergency department, intensive care unit, procedure and operating rooms, and a healing care environment. Virginia Mason will begin transferring services to the addition in the second half of 2011.

The Caprock Group

Dan Yeung, formerly of Morningstar, Threshold Group and Purcell Advisory Services, joined The Caprock Group as a senior associate in its Mercer Island office. Caprock develops strategic financial solutions for high net worth families. Yeung is also an adjunct professor of finance in the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University.

Cairncross & Hempelmann

Cairncross & Hempelmann hired Staci Snyder Jones, real estate attorney, as principal and Samantha Bushaw as an associate. Jones has 16 years of experience in commercial real estate and has worked with Cairncross & Hempelmann in the past. Bushaw was the firm's 2009 summer associate and recently received her law degree from Seattle University School of Law.

Hawkeye Channel Practice

Hawkeye Channel Practice of Kent, an international channel marketing agency, hired Andy Wright as chief executive officer. Wright has 30 years experience in marketing and was president of Carlson Marketing's U.S. loyalty business for five years.

Hamlin Robinson School

Hamlin Robinson School, which recently relocated to 1700 E. Union St. on Capitol Hill, hired Joan Beauregard as interim head of school. Beauregard has held leadership positions at The Giddens School in Seattle, the Little School in Bellevue and St. Thomas School in Medina. Hamlin Robinson offers programs for students with dyslexia and related language difficulties.

Symetra Life Insurance

Bellevue-based Symetra Life Insurance Co. hired Jonathan Curley as executive vice president of its Life Division. Curley worked with Wells Fargo Insurance Services where he was senior vice president and managing director of individual insurance.

Christensen O'Connor

Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness, an intellectual property law firm, hired Steven Parmelee as a member of its Life Sciences Practice. Parmelee's primary focus is developing biotechnology patent portfolios for companies and research institutions. He founded the Seattle office of Townsend and Townsend and Crew, and was managing partner for 16 years.

AGC of Washington Education Foundation

Osberg
Allan Osberg last week won the 2010 Distinguished Service Award from the Associated General Contractors of Washington Education Foundation. Osberg was cited for his contributions to the foundation and his role in educating the future construction workforce through donations such as the annual Mr. and Mrs. Allan F. Osberg Scholarship. He was president twice of local chapters of the AGC of Washington, and was president of the Education Foundation and still serves on the board. He also received an AGC Lifetime Achievement Award and is in the University of Washington Construction Hall of Fame.

Valley Electric hired Hardy Wood as marketing director in the Everett office. Wood has been an estimator and project manager in the local commercial electrical industry for 35 years.

JE Dunn Construction Co.

Campbell
JE Dunn Construction Co. appointed Jeff Campbell as senior vice president of the Northwest region, where he is responsible for the firm's Portland and Seattle offices. Campbell has worked at Dunn for more than 25 years and has been in the industry for more than 32 years. He holds a bachelor's degree in building construction management from Purdue University.

Professional Service Industries

Professional Service Industries promoted Daniel Kuhn to branch manager of the Mountlake Terrace office. Kuhn holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri–Columbia, and completed PSI's Manager-in-Training program. He has been with the company since June of 2008.

Parr Lumber Co.

Hillsboro, Ore.-based Parr Lumber Co. yesterday celebrated its 80th anniversary. The company started when Dwight Parr Sr. leased Evergreen Lumber Co., a bankrupt building materials business in Vancouver, and renamed it Parr Lumber Co. It is still owned by Parr's grandchildren Michael Parr, Brad Farmer and Nancy Cranston.
