The Stoel Rives law firm has added Devin McComb, Corinna McMackin, Christina Asavareungchai and Alex Oh to the Seattle office as associates. McComb is an associate in the Real Estate and Construction Group. McMackin is an associate in the Environment, Land Use and Natural Resources Group. Asavareungchai practices in the firm's Corporate Group. Oh is an associate in the Technology and Intellectual Property Group.
Mary Moss was recognized with the Lifetime Service Award from the Pierce County Chapter of Credit Unions. Moss, the community relations manager at Harborstone Credit Union, began her credit union career as a teller at the Harborstone McChord Air Force Base branch 32 years ago. The annual award is given to a credit union employee or volunteer who shows exemplary leadership.
Laird Norton Co., a seventh generation family-owned business founded in 1855, hired Marie Mentor as family president. Mentor follows Chalan Colby who held the post since 2005. The role ensures the family's values are reflected in business decisions and activities. Mentor is a former Washington state director of the Trust for Public Land; former president of the Laird Norton Foundation; former chairman of the Laird Norton Company Nominating Committee and a past consultant to nonprofits.
ZGF Architects promoted to associate partners David Broderson, Corinne Kerr, Fred Marcial, Eric Ritchey, Anita Rossen and Sara Satterlee. The architecture, planning and interior design firm said it is developing the company from within. ZGF has offices in Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C.
Travest Story and Mathew Wies joined the Federal Way office of BergerABAM. Story has seven years of civil engineering experience in designing storm drainage systems, sewer systems and water distribution systems, as well as site planning and construction inspection of transportation projects. He is working on Whidbey Island pump stations for the U.S. Navy. Wies has 13 years of structural engineering experience in residential, hospitality, commercial and industrial design. Wies is designing steel structures supporting grain conveyors at the Port of Kalama. BergerABAM offers program management, civil and structural engineering, land use planning, natural resources, public involvement, construction management and support and dive services with offices in Federal Way, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, Las Vegas and Houston.
Heather Farrell-Lipp joined the Spokane office of NAC|Architecture as a health care designer. With a focus on medical commissions, including tenant improvements, she will be responsible for planning, conceptual design, detailing and design oversight. She has four years of post-graduate design experience and one year of cooperative education. NAC specializes in planning, design, engineering and capital facilities, with offices in Seattle, Spokane, Los Angeles and Denver.
Director of Architecture Roger Tucker has been appointed interim executive director of Environmental Works. Outgoing executive director Daniel Glenn is leaving to build his own architectural practice, focused primarily on Native American projects. Tucker joined the firm as director of architecture in 1997, leading staff in providing sustainable design and architectural services to underserved, homeless, low-income and nonprofit communities in the Northwest.
Bernardo-Wills Architects hired Bill LaRue, Jr. as a landscape architect, Brianna Musser as an interior designer and Josh Chrisman as quality assurance manager. LaRue has 24 years of experience in the field, most recently as principal of his own firm, Aspen Landscape Architects. He has specialized in park and recreation projects, athletic facilities for schools, community planning, and master planning. Musser graduated from Washington State University in 2009 with a bachelor's in interior design. Chrisman was formerly a project manager with Garco Construction. He specializes in military, educational, and design-build projects, most recently as project engineer for the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Yakima. Spokane-based Bernardo-Wills offers architectural design, landscape architecture, interior design and graphic design.
