Wood Harbinger

Wood Harbinger promoted Bruce Higgs, Ralph Maier and Dave Porter to senior technical associates, Sean Bollen, Greg Bruce, Mohammed Haq, Murray Peck and Bruce Pitts to senior associates, and David Drewes-Moore, Tara Frentrop, Lee Swanson, Rick Trainer, Matt Woo and Jeff Yirak to associates. The promotions support the company's leadership development and transition goals. The Bellevue firm provides mechanical, electrical and industrial systems engineering.

EHS Design

C. David Hopkins joined EHS Design as marketing manager. Hopkins has 15-plus years of marketing experience in professional services, nonprofits and higher education. He will develop strategy and support business development. He previously worked at GeoEngineers, the Pride Foundation and Seattle University. EHS is an interior design and architecture firm in Seattle.

Bernardo-Wills Architects

Bernardo-Wills Architects promoted Steve Goodmansen to architect. He has been with the firm for 12 years, most recently as project manager and head of IT services. His work includes 13 modernizations for Spokane Public Schools. The Spokane-based firm does architectural design, landscape architecture and interior design.

LMN

LMN promoted John Woloszyn and Howard Fitzpatrick to principal and Stephen Van Dyck to associate. Woloszyn has been a technical design leader with the firm since 1992. He recently became its specifications writer, integrating building systems and sustainability requirements with technical documentation. Fitzpatrick has been a project designer at the firm since 2008. Van Dyck is a project architect. His work includes advances in applying digital fabrication processes. LMN provides planning and design services.

GeoEngineers

GeoEngineers hired Jaime Crawford as an associate in Redmond. Crawford has 13 years of geographic information system and geospatial database experience, most recently as enterprise spatial solutions director at Critigen. She was CH2M Hill's Northwest region GIS practice manager, and worked on transportation, water resource and environmental projects. GeoEngineers is a Seattle-based earth science, engineering and technology firm.

Seattle Humane Society

The Seattle Humane Society hired David Loewe as chief executive officer of the nonprofit animal shelter. Loewe has led Seattle Humane Society for eight months in the interim role, and has served as chief operating officer since August 2008. He replaces Brenda Barnette, who resigned last summer to head Los Angeles Department of Animal Services.

Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe

Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe opened Chaco West in West Seattle's Triangle neighborhood. It is at the corner of 38th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Alaska in Harbor Properties' apartment building Link. Chaco West will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

The Hunt Club

The Hunt Club at the Sorrento Hotel hired Joy Scarborough as assistant manager and Elliot Mbajah as Hunt Club supervisor. Scarborough has 10 years in the industry ranging from restaurant management to sales and marketing, and was recently restaurant manager and beverage director at the Arctic Club Hotel. Mbajah has 15 years experience in the restaurant industry and has worked for El Gaucho, Tacoma Seafood Grill and Waterfront Seafood Grill.

Skanska USA's Seattle office promoted three — Marcy Latta, Mark Howell and Bob Moore — and hired Michael Lemieux as marketing coordinator. Latta was promoted from marketing manager to regional marketing director, where she will oversee those operations in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles and Oakland, Calif. Prior to joining Skanska, Latta was marketing manager at Mithun. Howell, a 23-year employee, was promoted to senior vice president. Moore was promoted to vice president of environment, health and safety for the firm's western region of Washington, Oregon, California and Arizona. He joined Skanska in 1978 as a field worker. Lemieux previously was a marketing assistant at Puget Sound Energy. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Gonzaga University.

Swinerton Builders

Greg Evans was hired by Swinerton Builders Washington to generate new business with local American Indian tribes. As a project executive in the Bellevue office, Evans is focusing on gaming, hospitality and infrastructure work. He has more than 20 years of industry experience, including 10 years of specializing in tribal projects.

Global Diving & Salvage

Cargol
Seattle-based Global Diving & Salvage hired Mike Cargol as general manager for its Gulf of Mexico region. Cargol is working out of the firm's Houston office, where he is responsible for daily operations and business development. He previously worked for Houston-based Wild Well Control.

NADCA

The National Air Duct Cleaners Association gave $20,000 for tsunami relief to the Japan Air Distribution-system Control Association. The check was presented by Buck Sheppard, service manager at Tri County Temp Control in Oregon City, Ore., and NADCA president. More donations are expected later this year to the JADCA Tsunami Relief Fund.
