Stoel Rives, a business law firm, hired Kristina Ash, Sarah Hale and M. Rachel Hoffman as associates in the Seattle office. Ash is an associate in the Wealth Management Group and was an international U.S. tax associate at Moodys LLP Tax Advisors in Calgary, Alberta. Hale is an associate in the Litigation Group. She was an associate for the Seattle law firm Dionne & Rorick. Hoffman is an associate in the Environment, Land Use and Natural Resources Group. She was a lease administration assistant for Nike.
Coast Hotels and Resorts USA hired Patrick McFarlan as vice president of sales and marketing. McFarlan has been general manager of the Roosevelt Hotel Seattle, a Coast property, for the last 18 months.
EMB Management of Bellevue, an Associa company, promoted Alena Alonichava to chief financial officer and hired Lyn Archer as community association manager. Alonichava, a certified public accountant, has 10 years of financial experience. Archer has seven years of experience working with master, mixed-use, condominium and homeowner associations. EMB Management, provides community association management and developer services to the Pacific Northwest.
Vertafore, a Bothell-based provider of software and information to the insurance industry, hired Sharath Dorbala as senior vice president of product management. Dorbala previously worked with Oracle and Amdocs.

Harsch Investment Properties selected Grubb & Ellis's Seattle office to lease the West Park Corporate Campus in Auburn and Campus Park in Federal Way. The properties total nearly 351,300 square feet of office and warehouse. The leasing team is Bill Condon, Matt McGregor, Arne Svendsen and Patrick Mullin. Portland-based Harsch owns and operates 20 million square feet of commercial real estate in the West.
CBRE said 414 million square feet of properties it manages, including 10.6 million square feet in the Puget Sound region, participated in World Wildlife Fund's Earth Hour 2011 last month. Earth Hour encourages cities, businesses, schools, organizations and individuals to turn out lights for one hour in a symbolic call for action on climate change. The company also won a federal Energy Star Sustain Excellence Award.
First Service, parent company of Seattle-based Colliers International, launched FS Energy with the goal of reducing operating costs in buildings it manages. FS Energy is initially concentrating on 450 high-rises in New York City, and will expand to Chicago and South Florida. FS Energy tracks energy consumption and costs to create energy reduction plans.
Air Van Moving, a moving and storage business, hired Ken Wendland as vice president of regional sales and marketing for Washington and Oregon. Wendland has 30 years of experience in the moving and transportation industry. He will have offices in Seattle and Kirkland.
Seattle Public Schools hired Lesley Rogers as chief communications officer following a national search. Rogers is vice president at Strategies 360 and has 14 years of experience. She will oversee internal and external communications. She replaces Bridgett Chandler, who resigned in January.
The Laird Norton Co., a seventh generation family-owned business based in Seattle, announced Nick Pavelich, chief financial officer, is moving into an expanded role as CFO and senior vice president, real estate investments. Pavelich was appointed CFO of Laird Norton in 2006.
Wells Fargo named Todd Hashbarger community banking district manager for downtown Seattle. Hashbarger will lead 90 team members and 10 downtown Seattle branches. He has 13 years of experience in financial services and was recently Wells Fargo's North Central Idaho Community Banking district manager.
Coast Hotels and Resorts USA hired John Mathews as regional director of operations and general manager of the Roosevelt Hotel in Seattle. Mathews has management experience in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas and Seattle with CHA Hotels and West Coast Hotels, the predecessor of Coast Hotels.
