Law firm Riddell Williams hired Greg Euteneier as an associate in the Litigation Group. While in law school at Tulane University, he was book review and articles editor for The Tulane Law Review, and vice president of the Human Rights Law Society.
Laurie Simon, CEO and founder of Ombrella, received the Small Business Association's National 2011 Woman in Business Champion Award. Simon also won the SBA Washington State and Region 10 Award.

Matthew J. Geise of Phillips Real Estate Services in Seattle was awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation. Geise is an associate broker and executive director of Phillips' Multi-Family Group. The CCIM is awarded to people based on experience and completing a graduate-level curriculum.
Seattle is one of the cities being targeted by Bank of America with its new $55 million program to improve the energy efficiency of older buildings. The program provides low-cost loans and grants to community development institutions that finance energy improvements. Low-cost, long-term loans will help finance upfront costs for building owners. Coldwell Banker Bain merged with Coldwell Banker Miller-Arnason in Bellingham. The Bellingham office was founded in 1907 by the grandfather of the current managing broker, Gregg Miller. It has 60 brokers who do residential and commercial transactions.
There will be around 7,000 open houses throughout the state Saturday and Sunday, according to the Washington Association of Realtors, part of the group's nationwide open house weekend. Snohomish Realtors organized a countywide open house program in 2007, and that led to a statewide event two years later and the first national event last year. It's now international, with open houses in Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Philippines and other countries.

Keller Rohrback hired Cari Campen Laufenberg as a partner and member of the Complex Litigation Group with an emphasis on class action ERISA litigation.
Sirti, a state economic development agency focused on accelerating the growth of technology-based companies in the Inland Northwest, hired Scott Broder and Donald Kline as executive entrepreneurs to support clients in different sectors. Broder was recently the CEO for CanAM Internet. Klein was recently vice president of marketing and business development at Modius.
The National Board of Medical Examiners said Suzanne T. Anderson was elected to a two-year term as an at-large member of its executive board. Anderson is senior vice president, chief information officer and chief financial officer of Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
