Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.

Jarvis

Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. promoted Bryan Jarvis to vice president of operations. Jarvis joined the company in 2007 as director of manufacturing. In 2009, he was promoted to director of operations, taking on responsibility of the company's shipping, maintenance and engineering departments.

Sound Transit

The U.S. Department of Transportation honored Sound Transit for using small and disadvantaged businesses in its construction projects. Sound Transit also conducted networking sessions for prime and subcontractors to meet and build relationships, and hosted subcontractor and supplier forums. The award was presented to Sound Transit diversity programs director Leslie Jones.

Parr Lumber

Rumple

Parr Lumber named Ron Rumple inside sales support for its Everett store. Rumple has worked in the building materials industry for 35 years, including nearly 20 years as operations manager. Parr is based in Hillsboro, Ore., with 40 facilities in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona and Utah.

PCL Construction Services

PCL Construction Services received the first-ever Above and Beyond Award from Sound Transit for using small and disadvantaged businesses during construction of the Link light-rail segment and station in Tukwila. Out of a $280 million contract with Sound Transit, PCL had a 24.9 percent small business participation rate. The goal was 20 percent.

Omega Morgan

Omega Morgan achieved the platinum designation from Intel Corp.'s Contractor Safety Assessment Program for its score of 95 percent or higher. ConstructSecure, which administers the evaluation, said Omega Morgan demonstrated outstanding safety performance. Omega is headquartered in Hillsboro, Ore., and has an office in Fife. It specializes in moving large equipment.

Big Lots

Big Lots will hold a grand opening for its Covington store on Friday at 17307 S.E. 272nd St. The closeout retailer operates 1,415 Big Lots stores in 48 states and 88 Liquidation World stores in Canada. It has 14 stores in the Seattle area.

Esterline

Esterline Corp. in Everett, a specialty manufacturer serving the aerospace and defense markets, hired Mike McCoy as president of Korry Electronics. Located in Everett, Korry employs 600 people and is the largest operating unit of the Esterline Control Systems business platform. McCoy began his career with Esterline in 1998 as a cost estimator at Korry. He was recently vice president of finance.

Knob Hill Inn

Seattle-based hospitality management and consulting firm Columbia Hospitality has a new management and operational agreement with the Knob Hill Inn in Ketchum, Idaho. The 26-room inn was built in 1992 with a “Europeak alpine” design.

HFF

HFF in Portland hired Nicholas Kucha as a director in Portland. Kucha will focus on capital markets transactions for industrial, office and retail assets in the Pacific Northwest. Kucha has seven years of investment sales experience and worked with Nomad Commercial.

Public Disclosure Commission

Andrea McNamara Doyle is the new executive director of the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission. She will make recommendations on interpreting and enforcing the public disclosure law, and oversee operations and a staff of 20. She is a lawyer and has 15 years of leadership and management experience. Her annual salary is $113,000.

Seattle Symphony

Seattle Symphony said Jane Hargraft is the new vice president of development and Troy Skubitz is the new director of Benaroya Hall.
