Seattle-based Allen Institute for Brain Science hired Lance Stewart, Ph.D., M.B.A. as senior director of Alliance. Stewart co-founded the biotechnology company Emerald BioStructures in 1998, became CEO in 2009 and has 15 years experience in life sciences. The Allen Institute for Brain Science is a non-profit medical research organization dedicated to understanding the human brain.
Bellevue-based Symetra Life Insurance Company hired Lou Ascanio, Jake Brower, Mark Crisler and Carl Perry as regional sales executives to support group life and disability income insurance in the following territories: Ascanio in North Carolina; Brower in Indianapolis; Crisler in Seattle and Perry in Washington D.C. Symetra life Insurance Company is a diversified financial services organization.
Seattle-based F5 Networks promoted Dave Feringa as executive vice president of Worldwide Sales. Ferigna has been with F5 Networks since 2004 and has worked as regional vice president of North America and promoted to senior vice president of Americas Sales in January 2012. Feringa has 20 years experience in senior sales and business development in the technology industry and was regional sales manager and sales director at Cisco Systems. F5 Networks is a networking appliances company with marketing offices worldwide.

WHPacific promoted Heather N. C. Brown to marketing manager for the Northwest region, supervising staff in Portland and Seattle. She has 10 years of experience in marketing, including five in architecture and engineering. WHPacific provides building engineering, land development, water resources, survey, architecture, scanning, and transportation services.

The Philbin Group Landscape Architecture of Bellingham hired Patricia Lenssen as a landscape architect and project manager. She has nine years of experience on public and private projects. She has worked for HBB Landscape Architecture and Cascade Design Collaborative, and done landscape design and construction administration for park, road, playground, housing and school projects.








Integrus Architecture promoted a number of people to associate. In the Seattle office, they are: Patrick Donnelly and Daniel Gero, project architects; Amy Vanderhorst, architect/project manager; Matthew Sullivan, architect/project designer; Loretta Sachs, project manager; and Sam Schafer, intern architect. In the Spokane office, they are: Megan Ayers, engineering technician, and Mary Theil, facility security officer/administrative supervisor. Integrus provides architectural, planning, interior design, structural engineering and security design services.

Portland-based FFA Architecture and Interiors hired Stewart Thompson as a senior design associate. Thompson has 20-plus years of design experience, working on projects for the NPS, USDA Forest Service, BLM, state parks, and local governments. His experience includes historic preservation, and new construction in Landmark National Historic Districts. FFA provides architecture, planning, historic preservation and interior design.
Helix Design Group hired Kellie Kaiser as a project architect, Desiree Bush and Sara Groves as interior designers, and Shannon Kopp as senior marketing coordinator. Kaiser was previously a design manager for M3 Messenger Corp. in Seattle. Bush and Groves previously were interior designers for Starbucks Coffee Co. in Seattle. Kopp most recently was marketing coordinator for Adolfson & Peterson Construction in Tacoma. Helix is based in Tacoma and provides architecture, planning, interior design, graphic design and project management.
