The Seattle office of Lease Crutcher Lewis hired Doug Baker as project manager, Lana Gochenauer as BIM manager, Brian Gray as project engineer, LaQuanza Flowers as staff accountant, Julie Ly as accounting assistant, and Whitney Duncan as an information technology and operations assistant. Baker is working in the Special Projects Division. He previously was at another construction firm for seven years. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University. Gochenauer is a LEED Accredited Professional and is studying for a green MBA online from the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. Gray started in construction in 2006 and holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering management from Oregon State University. Flowers has seven years of accounting experience. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration/finance from Seattle University. Ly has been in accounting for four years and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and computer science from Western Washington University. Duncan studied at the College of Southern Maryland and has a background in CAD, carpentry, IT and administration.

ABC of Western Washington

Huckins

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington hired Gay Huckins as office manager. Huckins' primary duties are office administration and bookkeeping. She has nearly 20 years of experience in construction and construction-related industries. She previously worked as the service manager for an HVAC company, project administrator for an environmental remediation firm and office manager/bookkeeper for an architecture company.

Mortenson Construction

Embrey Bronstad joined Mortenson Construction's Seattle Operating Group as design phase manager for the water/wastewater market. Bronstad will handle estimating, pricing and preconstruction planning. She will also prepare budget estimates, value analysis and system cost analysis, as well as schedule design and construction activities. She has 10 years of experience in environmental and civil engineering, and holds a master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Redmond-based Olympian Precast added Michael Yore as a project manager/estimator. Yore has more than five years of concrete construction experience as a project manager and estimator.

Erik Liedholm, company wine director for John Howie Restaurant Group has been named “Sommelier of the Year” by Seattle magazine. Howie's wine lists have received numerous awards including best new wine list in America by Food and Wine magazine, best wine list in Seattle by seattle.citysearch.com and the award of excellence by Wine Spectator magazine. The award is presented to an individual who delivers exceptional service and education.

Renton Mayor's Office

The Renton Mayor's office appointed Preeti Shridhar as deputy public affairs administrator. Shridhar served as communications director and assumes some of the responsibilities formerly held by the assistant chief administrative office, a position cut due to budget cuts.

London-based Ernst & Young announced Ed Grabowy and Sandy Wight as senior partners and promoted Christian Tinder to principal and Tracy Jones to director to its Seattle office. Grabowy served as the Asia Pacific regional audit partner for the Shanghai office; Wight is partner in the Human Capital Mobility practice; Tinder works in advisory practice and Jones serves as administrative services leader. Ernst & Young is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services.

Tacoma-based Columbia Bank hired Randy Casto as senior vice president and leader of the Spokane private banking team. Casto started his banking career as a teller at Seafirst in 1989 and has 23 years of banking experience with Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Washington Trust Bank. Casto was relationship manager for private banking with Washington Trust Bank in Spokane. Columbia State Bank is a full-service commercial bank.

Pan Pacific

Johnson

Singapore-based Pan Pacific hired Sam Johnson as general manager in the Seattle hotel. Johnson has 30 years of hospitality experience and recently served as general manager of The Sorrento. Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts has 20 hotels, resorts and suites across Asia, North America and Oceania.

Lighter Capital

Seattle-based Lighter Capital said company founder Andy Sack has become executive chairman and BJ Lackland is CEO. Lackland served as CFO and board member for Power Efficiency Corp. Lighter Capital provides companies financing in return for a percentage of their revenue and has provided $2.3 million to 16 companies since 2010.
