Marcus & Millichap

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services promoted Robert Sheppard to executive vice president of investments. Sheppard, who works inSeattle, will continue in his role as executive director of the Tax Credit Group, which last year closed 93 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit property sales and capital markets transactions valued at more than $890 million. The firm also promoted eight western-based agents to vice president investments. They are Marc Cunningham, Seattle, multifamily; Jon Hendrickson, Denver, retail and net-leased; Steve Gebing, Phoenix, multifamily; Mark Ruble, Phoenix, retail and net-leased; and Chris Child, Salt Lake City, multifamily.

Kidder Mathews

Ryan Dinius joined the Seattle office of Kidder Mathews, where he will specialize in multi-family sales and development sites in the Puget Sound region. Kidder Mathews has more than 200 brokers in nine offices in Washington, Oregon and California.

Blueprint Capital

Robert Fuller joined Blueprint Capital as CFO and chief credit officer, and company co-founders Mark Knoll and Dan Duffus were was named CEO and director of builder services, respectively. Fuller held senior executive posts at US Bank, Sterling Savings Bank and Golf Savings Bank. Seattle-based Blueprint is a residential construction lender.

Bank of America

Bank of America has awarded 13 grants totaling $200,000 to Puget Sound-area nonprofits that work on affordable housing and community development projects. The grants are part of a $22 million national fund for nonprofits that build and rehab affordable housing; and offer foreclosure prevention services, homeowner counseling and neighborhood revitalization services. According to local recipients, the grant will help create 1,600 new housing units in the Seattle area.

How to structure investments

The Seminar Group is putting on a day-long program about structuring commercial real estate investments Sept. 12 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. Lawyers will review the basics and talk about issues to watch for. The seminar is for attorneys, investors, brokers, appraisers, lenders, developers and contractors. Anderson

Seattle Theatre Group hired Katherine Anderson, CPA, as chief financial officer. Anderson served as CFO at Seattle Opera and Seattle Opera Foundation and has more than 20 years of financial business and non-profit experience. Seattle Theatre Group operates the Paramount, Moore and Neptune theaters.

WWU College of Business and Economics

Stringfield

WWU College of Business and Economics Small Business Development Center hired Wade Stringfield as business adviser. Stringfield worked as senior business relationship manager for Wells Fargo in Bellingham. The center provides advising, technical assistance and research to business owners and managers.

Ater Wynne

Portland-based law firm Ater Wynne re-elected Brenda Meltebeke as chair, re-elected Michael Shackelford as managing partner for the Seattle and California locations, and elected Doug Morris as a new member of the management committee. Ater Wynne has offices in Seattle, Portland and in California.
