Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa

Hansen

Kirkland-based Woodmark Hotel Yacht Club & Spa hired Claire Hansen as manager of bin on the lake. She is a first level sommelier and will be in charge of the wine list and inventory. Hansen has more than 17 years of experience in the restaurant industry and most recently served as general manager of Flying Fish. The Woodmark is located on Lake Washington in Kirkland.

City of Tacoma

City manager T.C. Broadnax announced the appointment of Kim Bedier as Tacoma's new public assembly facilities director effective Nov. 14. Bedier will oversee the Tacoma Dome. Broadnax has more than 20 years of venue management experience and is general manager of Comcast Arena in Everett.

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt

Portland-based law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt hired Troy Greenfield as partner in charge of the Seattle office. Greenfield brought his national commercial trial practice to the law firm in 2011 and focuses his practice on intellectual property, securities and bankruptcy-creditors' rights litigation. Greenfield was managing shareholder of the Seattle office of Bullivant Houser Bailey.

Ianniciello

Seattle-based GreenRubino, a communications and marketing firm, hired Dennis Budell as associate creative director and Quinn Ianniciello as a designer in the creative department. Budell has more than 20 years of advertising and marketing experience and was associate creative director at Drake Cooper. Ianniciello designed direct and digital marketing collateral for the Hacker Group.

Maryhill Museum of Art

Goldendale's Maryhill Museum of Art appointed Laura Thayer as collections manager. Thayer was programs manager and directed exhibits, collections and education programs for the Northwest Museum of Arts & culture in Spokane. The Maryhill Museum is housed in a Beaux Arts mansion overlooking the Columbia River Gorge.

Wingstop

Texas-based Wingstop opened a new location at 14875 Main St. in Bellevue. The grand opening is planned for Nov. 9 – 11. Founded in 1994, Wingstop has more than 500 restaurants across the United States and Mexico.

Skanska USA hired six for its Washington operations: Margot vanSwearingen as senior project engineer; Brett Hartle as project engineer; Lacey Ahlf as project manager in the special projects group; Jo Anne McClintock as project accountant; and Kaley Bennett and Pamela Allison as field administrators. VanSwearingen is working on the Stone 34 project, Hartle graduated in June from the University of Washington's construction management program, Ahlf is managing operations and client relations, McClintock is monitoring the financial progress of projects, and Bennett and Allison are providing client support.

The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington picked its 2013 officers: chair Dave McFerran of Merit Mechanical; vice-chair Mike Price of Specialized Pavement Markings; treasurer Adam Pinsky of S.M.E. Inc. of Seattle; secretary Dave Cunningham from Shoreline Community College; and past chair Jason Preuit of W. G. Clark Construction. Other board members are Shawn Rhode of the Rafn Co. and Jennifer Richards of Safety Matters. Retired CITC president Sandra Olson-Meyer is an advisor to and voting member of the board as well.

CMAA Northwest Chapter

The Northwest Chapter for the Construction Management Association of America recently elected its new officers and board members. The officers are president Jan Rosholt of Parametrix, vice-president Kathy Harbert of KBA Inc., treasurer Robert Ironmonger of CH2MHill, secretary Anne Timmermans of Heery International, and past president Allen Wycoff of Hill International. Board members are Dan Becker of HDR, Christy Sanders-Meena of Sound Transit, Andrew Doherty of the Seattle Housing Authority, Jeff Hitt of Jacobs, Jack Schwaegler of Michael Baker Inc., Chad Frederick of URS, Jeannine Alexander of EPC Consultants, Paul Berry of Harris Associates, Dave Petersen of OAC Services, and Eric Wildt of Turner Construction.

NAWIC Puget Sound Chapter

The Puget Sound Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction recently installed its new officers and board members. Officers are president Maureen Byrnes, vice-president Sue Z. Hart, treasurer Judy Jewell and secretary Gwyn Hart. Board members are Gayle Hoffman, Lily Iftner and Brenda Molner.
