Tiscareno Associates promoted Dan Nelson to associate principal, and hired Hillary Collins as a project designer and Charles Wright as a project architect. Nelson has been an architect for 18 years and joined Tiscareno in 2009. His projects include the East Link 130th Street Station in Bellevue and Legacy Town Square in Redmond.
Parametrix hired Bob Carr as a senior project manager to work on facilities and infrastructure, and business development. Carr has 25-plus years of experience developing capital programs and managing complex projects for institutional, industrial and retail clients. His projects have ranged in value from tens of thousands of dollars to more than $100 million. Parametrix provides planning and environmental sciences.
Ankrom Moisan Architects hired Erin Couch as a senior health care architect in the Portland office, and promoted several people to associate in the Seattle office: Sadaf Quddusi, Matt Engelmann, JP Emery, Levi Rippy, Megan Roos and Steve Jones. Couch has more than 28 years of experience in health care, most recently as associate and project manager at Clark/Kjos Architects. She has also worked at KMD and Giffin Bolte Jurgens. Her projects include the West Tower at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Ore. Ankrom Moisan provides architecture, interior design, urban design and branding.
Farallon Consulting promoted Amy Essig Desai to principal. Essig Desai has been a senior manager on large projects and has more than 15 years of experience in environmental investigations, cleanups, source control evaluations, due diligence, and environmental compliance audits. She has been with the firm for nearly 11 years and a partner since 2008.
Seattle-based Optimum Energy provides software and services to help make HVAC systems more energy efficient. It promoted Ben Erpelding to chief technical officer and appointed Christi DeCuir as vice president of engineering, Adam Goldberg as vice president of sales, Jack Reader as vice president of strategy and alliances and Chris Boscolo as vice president of development. Erpelding is a mechanical engineer with 14 years of experience. He is in charge of developing software. DeCuir was an executive with Cisco Systems in Seattle, New York and Bangalore. She manages Optimum's engineering services, from site assessment through energy optimization. Goldberg was senior manager of global sales and business development for Cisco Systems' real estate arm. He is in charge of getting new customers. Reader has three decades of experience in the industry, including as a senior architect at Cisco working on the smart-building business. At Optimum, he will head business strategy and partnerships. Boscolo has 20 years of experience developing products. He will manage software development.
Seattle/Tacoma-based 88.5 KPLU hired Martha Kange as online managing editor effective March 11. For the past six years, Kang has worked in digital news production at KOMO News, and since 2011 has led the social media department.
Seattle-based Pacific Continental Bank promoted Paola Tippner to vice president and HR generalist. Tippner will be working from Pacific Continental Bank's KOIN office in downtown Portland.
Bellevue Downtown Association promoted Mike Ogliore to vice president of events and operations. Ogliore has produced events for the association for six years such as the Bellevue Jazz Festival, Symetra Bellevue Family 4th and Live at Lunch concert series. The Bellevue Downtown Association is a nonprofit, member-based organization.
