Linda Nguyen, CEO of WorkForce Central, was re-appointed to the board of trustees for the US Conference of Mayors Workforce Development Council. The council is a forum for cities to examine workforce issues.
Seattle-based AlphaCipher Acquisition Corp., which does business as Vadium, named Mark Hulak senior vice president for corporate development. He has experience in corporate development, M&A banking and private equity, and has worked at Microsoft, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. The firm is a development-stage company focused on digital security and privacy issues.
Clark Nuber promoted Dora Leung to principal in the Tax Services Group, which works on large, multistate and multinational operations.
Lynnwood-based Pacific Crest Savings Bank named Kevin Hogan senior vice president of client services. He was chief operating officer and SVP of retail operations at City Bank of Lynnwood.

Weber Thompson promoted architects Myer Harrell and Scott Wells and interior designer Bernadette Rubio to senior associate. It also promoted Austin Besse, Emily Doe, Kirsten Clemens, Cody Lodi and Josh McDonald to associate.
Their projects include Pike Motorworks, Viktoria, Allegro at Columbia City, 2030 8th Avenue and 400 Boren. Seattle-based Weber Thompson provides architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and community/urban design. It said 2013 was one of the most successful years in its 25-year history.





Freiheit & Ho Architects appointed Zach Adams operations manager. He will oversee operations, and assist with strategic planning and financial oversight. Kirkland-based Freiheit & Ho is a commercial architectural firm.


Helix Design Group hired Heidi Kihlman as an interior designer and Laura Paulsen as a graphic designer, and promoted Bobbie Knapp to marketing coordinator. Kihlman has 16 years of experience in retail and residential design, planning and project/design management. Paulsen holds a bachelor's in visual art and has been a graphic designer for five years. She specializes in brochures, posters, advertisements and logos. Knapp was hired in 2011 and will assist with statements of qualifications and presentations, publications and marketing, and development of proposals. Tacoma-based Helix provides architecture, interior design and graphic design. It has a staff of 22.
The Blueline Group hired Chris Miller as a project engineer. He has more than six years of experience on private and public projects including residential plats, office, health care and industrial. Blueline provides civil engineering and land development consulting.

Wells Fargo Private Bank hired Linda Mauzy as vice president and senior investment strategist in Bellevue. Mauzy has 28 years of investment experience and was senior portfolio manager at Key Private Bank. She is a chartered financial analyst and has a master's in economics.

Bellevue Arts Museum said Nora Atkinson has been appointed Lloyd Herman Curator of Craft at the Smithsonian American Art Museum's Renwick Gallery. Atkinson has been with BAM since 2006.
Papa Murphy's International, a take 'n' bake pizza chain based in Vancouver, said Mark Hutchens is now chief financial officer. He was vice president, CFO international for Bloomin' Brands, which operates Outback Steakhouse.
