Moira Davin has joined JayRay in Tacoma as an advisor. She was director of sales for Travel Tacoma + Pierce County. JayRay's services include branding, advertising and strategic communication programs.
Dr. Dennis Kip Herren, superintendent of Auburn School District, was named 2015 Superintendent of the Year by the Washington Association of School Administrators. Herren has been in education for 40 years, 35 of them in Auburn. The district has 15,000 students with 56 percent who are in poverty, 25 percent Hispanic, and 2,500 English-language learners from 65 different first languages.

The Master Builders Association of Pierce County named Rick Miller as executive officer. Miller previously was chief operating officer at the MBA of King and Snohomish Counties. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Montana School of Business Administration, and is a Certified Management Accountant. MBA of Pierce County is a nonprofit trade association with more than 650 builder and associate member companies.

Jones Lang LaSalle hired Ryan Kadletz as a vice president representing tenants. Kadletz has more than 18 years of experience, including time at CBRE and Kidder Mathews. His expertise is acquisitions, dispositions, renewals and relocations. Jones Lang LaSalle has a global workforce of more than 53,000 people, with 200 offices in 75 countries.
Brent Palmer of NewTower Trust Co. in Seattle is the Counselors of Real Estate's second vice chair for 2015. Palmer is expected to serve as board chair in 2017. Palmer has been involved with CRE since 1988, and chairs the education committees. He has more than 30 years of experience in research and valuation of real estate, infrastructure, stocks, securities and intellectual assets, as well as acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, analysis, and consulting in the U.S. and Canada.
An entity related to Denver-based Industrial Property Trust bought an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing building at 101 Western St. in Auburn for $7.85 million. The seller is Victor Enterprises, an LLC based in Tukwila that is managed by Diana Dipietro. The price breaks down to about $98 per square foot. LMI Aerospace is a long-term tenant. Taylor Hoff, Jeff Forsberg and Arie Salomon of NAI Puget Sound Properties represented the seller. NAI Puget Sound Properties specializes in leasing and sales of office, industrial and retail properties, with offices in Bellevue, Seattle and Tacoma.
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle elected new member directors representing Idaho and Wyoming and one independent non-public interest director. David P. Bobbitt is chairman and CEO of Community 1st Bank in Post Falls, Idaho. David J. Ferries is president/CEO and director of First Federal Savings Bank in Sheridan, Wyoming. The independent director is David F. Wilson, CEO of Wilson Construction in Ketchum, Idaho.
Ted Baseler has been reappointed to a second full term on the Washington State University Board of Regents. He is a WSU alumnus and president and CEO of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.
