In Seattle, NK Architects hired Justin Lawless, Briana Peretti and Suzi Davison as staff architects. Lawless has over four years of experience with low-income, multifamily projects and historic renovations. Peretti has two years of experience designing high-end houses and five years assisting with houses and townhouse communities. Davison was an NK intern. She supports project teams with production work, including graphic design, architectural drawing sets and floor plans. She also assists marketing with graphics.

Kristian Kicinski, an associate principal at Bassetti Architects, earned the Well Accredited Professional credential through the International Well Building Institute, and the LEED for Building Design + Construction credential from the U.S. Green Building Council. Well focuses on the health and wellness of people in buildings, and LEED BD+C on holistic green buildings.

Miller Hayashi Architects

Seattle-based Miller Hayashi Architects hired Mariela Fernandez and Matthew Denner to its design staff. Fernandez holds a master of architecture degree from Tulane University and a degree in architecture from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso in Chile. She has worked on K-12 projects in New Orleans. Denner holds a master of architecture degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. He was a craftsman, fabricator and residential designer in the Detroit area prior to working on civic and educational projects in Seattle. Miller Hayashi provides planning and design services.

Tim McCormack joined RPS' environmental risk group's Seattle office as regional vice president of Pacific NW operations. McCormack has over 25 years of experience providing environmental management and consulting. He will advise clients on environmental investigation and remediation, due diligence, contaminant hydrogeology, environmental compliance, impaired asset management and sustainable property development.

ESM Consulting Engineers

ESM Consulting Engineers hired Pete Gonzales as a senior project manager at its Federal Way headquarters. Gonzales has over 34 years of civil engineering experience, including most recently 11 years as owner of Pyramid Engineering. He will work on public and private land development projects.

In Seattle, Aspect Consulting hired Curtis Nickerson as a senior associate environmental scientist, Heidi Wachter as an associate water resources scientist, James Packman and Bryan Berkompas as senior hydrologists, Brad Kwasnowski as a project environmental scientist, Brian Hite as a staff water resources engineer and Rebecca Powell as staff water resources specialist. Nickerson leads municipal water quality programs, including storm response monitoring, NPDES compliance, and using statistical approaches to manage drainage systems. Wachter has 21 years of experience in surface water studies and Clean Water Act compliance. Packman has a background in forest hydrology and statistics, and 21 years of experience on local source control, storm drain sediments and environmental compliance audits. Berkompas does flow and water quality monitoring, with over 15 years of experience in the Puget Sound region. Kwasnowski has managed and implemented stormwater monitoring projects for over a decade. Hite performs stormwater and surface water monitoring, and data analysis and management for NPDES compliance projects. Powell focuses on stormwater monitoring, including support for toxicity and stormwater sediments projects. Aspect provides environmental, geotechnical, water resource and GIS services in the Northwest and Western U.S.

Stoel Rives LLP named John S. Laney a partner in the Seattle office. He is one of 13 new partners in the nationwide firm. Laney focuses on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate, securities and finance transactions.

Russell Investments

Global asset manager Russell Investments announced Bryan Weeks has joined the firm as head of the Americas Institutional business. He has 25 years of experience in institutional asset management, and most recently was CEO of Silver Creek Capital Management. Weeks succeeds Greg Gilbert, who is departing to pursue other personal and business interests

Andersen Tax

Andersen Tax has promoted Mark Wood to managing director. He is part of the state and local tax practice, and will join the team of eight managing directors in the Pacific Northwest. Andersen Tax has 143 managing directors in 19 locations in the U.S.
