Nguyen

Kathotia

The Seattle office of The Walsh Group added Vaibhav Kathotia and Tam Nguyen as project engineers. Both are doing preconstruction for an apartment renovation in Everett. Kathotia previously worked on a project at McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas with the Walsh Archer Western Federal division. Nguyen has a background in structural engineering and started with Walsh last May on a U.S. Embassy project in Norway. She interned at Walsh's Detroit office.


Contrack Watts

Boulad

Bernard Boulad relocated to the Gig Harbor office of Contrack Watts, where he is director of proposals and marketing. Boulad joined the company in 1988 and also serves as its business development director. He holds a master's degree in business administration from George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Boston University. McLean, Virginia-based Contrack Watts is a general contractor specializing in design-build, waterfront and vertical construction.



PCL Construction

Fundraising by 28 PCL Construction offices across North America netted nearly $5 million for local United Way agencies in 2016. PCL has been giving to United Way for nearly 50 years.

Hennessey

Woodland Park Zoo has a new vice president of communications and public affairs, Lauri Hennessey, and new vice president of development, Sarah Valentine. Hennessey has more than 25 years of experience in the news media, including at Edelman Public Relations in Seattle. Valentine joined the zoo in 2012, and became director of philanthropy in 2014.

Sound Mental Health

Sound Mental Health CEO Patrick C. Evans announced changes to the leadership team. Here is the team: Paul Eisenhauer, executive vice president and CFO; Mary Bartels, vice president and chief medical officer; Karen Ainley, vice president and chief people officer; Katrina Egner, vice president and chief programs officer; Susie Winston, director of clinical quality and excellence; and Stephen McLean, director of marketing and public relations. The organization is also filling other key positions in development, operations, strategy and technology.

Seattle-based HomeStreet, parent company of HomeStreet Bank, hired Mark R. Ruh to lead corporate development and strategic investment. He has extensive banking, finance, transaction and private equity investing experience in California and Indiana, and served five years in the Navy as a nuclear submarine officer.

Federal Reserve Bank

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco appointed Drew Wolff, treasurer of Starbucks, to the Seattle Branch board of directors for a three-year term, replacing Nicole W. Piasecki of Boeing. Cheryl B. Fambles, CEO of Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council, has joined the board, replacing Greg Leeds of Wizards of the Coast.

Kidder Mathews

Chudzik

David Chudzik, vice president for Kidder Mathews' Valuation Advisory Services, has been awarded the CRE designation by The Counselors of Real Estate. In 10 years with Kidder Mathews, Chudzik has also has earned the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. He has a Ph.D. in biochemistry, and focuses on venture capital investing in the life sciences industry. Chudzik has performed biotechnology valuation and market analysis on a national basis, and he authored the National Biotechnology Real Estate Market Analysis for GVA Worldwide. His clients include Alexandria Real Estate Equities, University of Washington and Vulcan Real Estate.

NAIOP

The January NAIOP breakfast meeting has the tantalizing theme of “Lessons From Auckland,” which is where 2015 and 2016 Runstad Fellows visited to study urban planning and development in New Zealand. JND Legal Administration, a management and administration company offering corporate restructuring, class action, mass tort, government services and eDiscovery services, announced it is rebranding UpShot Services LLC to JND Corporate Restructuring. JND acquired the claims and noticing agent based in Denver to create a new corporate restructuring division. Travis Vandell and Robert Klamser of UpShot were appointed JND Corporate Restructuring's CEO and president, respectively.
