Summit Law Group

Summit Law Group announced it has hired five attorneys from Riddell Williams to create a new real estate group, which it dubs “the Dirt Group.” They are Kyle L. Branum, Courtney L. Seim, Keith J. Seo, Denice Tokunaga and Katie K. Yuen. Tokunaga will be the new real estate practice leader. Summit said over the past decade, this team has established one of Seattle's leading commercial real estate practices.

American Seafoods Group

American Seafoods Group said Mikel Durham is the new CEO, and current CEO and Chairman Bernt Bodal will continue as chairman. Durham has worked in the food service and consumer products industries, including at PepsiCo, Burger King, Cadbury Schweppes and Yum. American Seafoods harvests, processes and supplies wild-caught seafood.

JND Legal Administration

JND Legal Administration named Jennifer Keough CEO, to oversee class action, mass tort, corporate restructuring, eDiscovery and government services. She was managing director of JND Legal Administration and CEO of the class action division. The firm also has a new 11,000-square-foot Seattle headquarters.

iinnovate Leadership Network

Perkins Coie partner David F. McShea has joined the board of advisors at iinnovate Leadership Network, a peer CEO network focused on the innovation economy. iinnovate was founded in 2016 by R. Joe Ottinger to help founders, CEOs and presidents of innovative companies. McShea joins others in the Seattle tech community, including Chris Ackerley, Artie Buerk, Vikram Jandhyala, Ralph Pascualy, Heather Redman, Michael Schutzler and Karl Triebes. Ottinger said less than 10 percent of tech companies have grown to more than 20 employees.

Clark Nuber PS, a Bellevue-based CPA firm, named Jennifer Becker Harris a tax shareholder. Harris joined Clark Nuber as a tax senior in 2003.

C&W said Dave Magee has earned the SIOR Office designation from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. With 27 years of experience in commercial real estate, Magee has represented clients including Alaska-Horizon Airlines, King County and Boeing. He has expertise in tenant representation, office leasing and investment sales.

Coldwell Banker

The Swanepoel Power 200 List includes Bill Riss of Bellevue, who runs Coldwell Banker Bain and Coldwell Banker Seal through his Landover Corp. The 30-year industry veteran directed the purchase and consolidation of the Bain and Coldwell Banker brands, then added other franchises. CB Bain|Seal now has 30 offices from Bellingham into Oregon. Swanepoel also honored Seattle Homes Group managing broker Sam DeBord who was named a Social Influencer. SHG is a Coldwell Banker affiliate and a brand of the publicly traded Realogy Holdings Corp. DeBord is also president of the Seattle King County Realtors.

Gudell

Local real estate firm Zillow placed Nashville in the number one slot on its list of the hottest housing markets of 2017. Seattle is second place. Projections were based on rising home values, low unemployment rates and strong income growth. Following Seattle were Provo, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Portland, Knoxville, Ogden, Denver and Sacramento. In a statement, Zillow chief economist Dr. Svenja Gudell said, “Mid-size cities like Salt Lake City, Portland and Nashville are desirable places to live, with good employment opportunities and steady economic growth. The growth and demand for housing will drive up home prices in 2017, and these hot markets are experiencing change as more people discover them.”
