City of Fife

Farina

Dawn Farina will join the city of Fife's legal team at the end of the year as prosecutor and assistant city attorney. Farina has been a Pierce County deputy prosecutor for almost three decades, and was president of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association. Fife recently transitioned its legal department from contracted to in-house, with Greg Amann as city attorney.

Veris Law Group

Elizabeth Harris and Derek Threet joined Veris Law Group in Seattle as attorneys. Both practice environmental law, with an emphasis on contaminated properties. Harris was associate corporation counsel for the city of New York, working on land use and environmental matters. Threet was an attorney with the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Site Remediation Enforcement.

City of Kirkland

The state Department of Revenue added the city of Kirkland as a partner in its Business Licensing Service, allowing local businesses to apply for more than 400 different registrations in a single transaction. About one-third of all cities statewide work with BLS for local licensing.

WorkForce Pierce

WorkForce Pierce on Monday will consolidate job centers on South Cedar Street and Tacoma Avenue South at a new location: 2121 S. State St. in Tacoma. The organization says the move will improve assistance for job seekers and Pierce County businesses.

Executech

Seattle-based Executech bought Z7 Networks, a managed-IT services provider in Seattle. Z7 staff will be retained in the deal. Executech is an IT services provider targeting small and medium-sized organizations across the West.

King County International Airport

Parrott

John Parrott is the new director of King County International Airport-Boeing Field. Parrott worked at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska for nearly 20 years, including nine years as director. Most recently, he managed his own aviation consulting business.

Omeros

In Seattle, biopharmaceutical company Omeros hired Daniel Kirby as vice president-head of commercial and Dr. Justin McCue as vice president of chemistry, manufacturing and controls. Kirby was commercial lead for Celgene's chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell franchise in the U.S. McCue headed development of CAR T-cell and T-cell receptor therapy manufacturing at Celgene.

Maven

Maven board member and investor John Fichthorn was elected board chair, and will lead the finance and audit committee. Fichthorn is head of B. Riley Alternatives, a division of investment advisory firm B. Riley Capital Management. Maven is an expert-driven group media network platform.

Zoom+Care

Portland-based Zoom+Care opened its 10th Seattle area clinic, in Redmond at 16175 Cleveland St., Suite 103. Zoom+Care provides retail and digital health care, with 36 clinics in Portland and Seattle.
