Michelle Rudd joined Summit Trail Advisors' new Seattle office as a partner. Rudd has 30 years of experience in the wealth management industry, the last 17 years at Wells Fargo in Seattle as a senior vice president and wealth advisor. Her practice focuses on ultra-high-net-worth families in the Pacific Northwest. Summit is an independent wealth management boutique with offices in New York, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

City of Tacoma

The U.S. Conference of Mayors appointed Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards to its advisory board and as co-chair of the Women Mayors Leadership Alliance. The non-partisan group works to strengthen federal-city relationships and provides mayors with leadership and management tools.

Medical Teams International

New board members at Medical Teams International are: Fred Gregory, president of World Concern; Geoff Guilfoy, founder of Lumen Leaders; Michael Levelle, of counsel at Catalyst Law; John E. Phillips, global head of workforce staffing at Amazon; Sean Robbins, president of Regence Blue Shield of Idaho; Beth Weibling, retired sales executive at SmithKline Pharmaceutical Co.; and Gabe Winslow, founder of SmartPickle.com. Portland-based Medical Teams provides care for people in crisis.

Washington Supreme Court

Chief Justice Mary E. Fairhurst won the 2019 American Inns of Court Professionalism Award for the Ninth Circuit. Fairhurst began serving as a justice in the Washington Supreme Court in 2003. Before that, she spent 16 years in the Washington Attorney General's Office.

Smartsheet

Bellevue-based Smartsheet won four awards from Comparably, an employee review website. Smartsheet won in these categories: Best CEOs for Women, Best CEOs for Diverse Employees, Best Leadership Teams, and Best Companies for Professional Development. Smartsheet is a cloud-based platform for work execution.

Edifecs

Bellevue-based Edifecs opened an office in Atlanta, where it plans to hire up to 200 staff over three to five years. Edifecs is a health information technology company. The Atlanta office will better serve East Coast clients.

Top Colliers multifamily team joins KM

Dylan Simon, Jerrid Anderson and their multifamily team at Colliers have jumped ship to Kidder Mathews, which announced the news on Monday. Also making the move are Matt Laird, Alex Mundy, Cate Chase and Tyler Blaikie. Together they've done over $1 billion in multifamily deals over the past five years, totaling over 7,000 units. KM's Brian Hatcher said in a statement, “Simon and Anderson complete a critical piece to Kidder Mathews' strategy of assembling a coordinated network of the most skilled and accomplished investment sales professionals along the West Coast.”

Sabey adds to leadership team

Sabey Corp. announced a new position to be filled by Kelly Flores, formerly with City University. She's been named director of culture, learning and leadership development. CEO John Sabey said in a statement, “Kelly is uniquely qualified to take the helm and formalize a culture that we have fostered since the company was founded more than four decades ago. We seek out people with a fresh perspective, an inspired vision and a relentless sense of purpose.” The almost 50-year-old local company has developed over 27 million square feet. Among its current projects is planning the expansion of the Swedish Cherry Hill Medical Campus.

Ironwood beefs up on brokers

Ironwood Commercial Real Estate announced the recent hiring of broker Shane Hoey, who'll specialize tenant representation and industrial and land investment sales. A second-generation family business, founded in 1983 by Jim and Alice Abbott, Ironwood now counts Tyler and Michelle Abbott among its brokers. Tyler Abbott said in a statement of the new hire, “Shane has more than eight years of experience in commercial brokerage, and has completed lease transactions totaling nearly 1.2 million square feet of space. He has a passion for real estate and excellent customer service.”
