Seattle-based biopharmaceutical company Immusoft appointed Dr. Robert Hayes as chief scientific officer. Hayes has nearly two decades of biologics discovery and development experience, most recently as head of biologics at Amgen. Prior to that, he was vice president and venture leader at Centyrex, a biotech venture within Janssen R&D. Immusoft re-engineers B cells to treat diseases.
Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm, added five attorneys to its Seattle office. The new associates are Amanda N. Buchan, Ryan R. Jones, Radhika V. Mehta, Gulsah Senol and Eryne Walvekar. Buchan defends employers in U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims and lawsuits. Jones focuses on class actions and discrimination and harassment claims. Mehta specializes in immigration law. Senol practices on all aspects of workplace law, including the Americans with Disabilities, Fair Labor Standards and Family Medical Leave acts. Walvekar represents individuals and companies on immigration matters. Fisher Phillips has more than 400 attorneys in over 30 offices.
Seattle-based spine imaging system company Precisive Surgical merged with La Jolla, California-based Carlsmed, a developer of personalized surgical implants for patients with debilitating spine deformities. Terms of the deal were not announced. The two companies are working on a system that allows doctors to use more imaging data for customized spine surgeries.
Seattle-based luxury tour operator TCS World Travel is partnering with genealogy research firm Heritage Consulting to create bespoke legacy journeys. Heritage's research is used to retrace customers' family roots through travel, such as meeting distant cousins in an ancestral village or following in a great-grandparent's footsteps to the fields where he or she worked.
Sequim-based Estes Builders hired Tiffeny Redman as a custom home advisor. Redman has 12 years of experience in special education administration in the California school system, was a real estate appraiser in Seattle and runs her own fine arts business. Estes is a 30-year-old designer-builder of custom homes.

NHL Seattle hired Ron Francis as the team's general manager. Francis is a two-time Stanley Cup winner and member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. After his playing days, he spent 12 seasons in management with the Carolina Hurricanes, including four as general manager. Seattle's inaugural season will be 2021.
Dr. Jeff Tomlin is the new CEO of Kirkland-based EvergreenHealth. Tomlin had been interim CEO since May 31, following Dr. Amy Beiter's departure from the organization. He has been with EvergreenHealth for 30 years, as an anesthesiologist, medical director, senior vice president, and chief medical and quality officer.
Seattle-based business law firm Stokes Lawrence on Sept. 1 will gain nine attorneys from Seattle-based Mills Meyers Swartling, which will no longer offer legal services after that date. The attorneys joining Stokes Lawrence will be part of the firm's Litigation and Business practices. They are: Brett T. MacIntyre, Bruce Winchell, Caryn Geraghty Jorgensen, Eric W. Robinson, James K. Wilkens, John Fetters, Rachael R. Wallace, Raymond S. Weber and Samantha K. Pitsch. All but Wilkens, who is based in Anchorage, will work in Seattle. Jorgensen will become a shareholder at Stokes Lawrence, making the firm 50% women-owned.
Stijn Hendrikse is the newest board member of Fraxion, a Seattle cloud-based procure-to-pay solution for business expense management. Hendrikse has over 20 years of experience in the software-as-a-service industry, most recently as CEO of virtual business phone system provider MightyCall.
Seattle-based LifeSpan BioSciences acquired Everest Biotech. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Everest Biotech is based in the United Kingdom and has a U.S. office in California. It provides purified goat polyclonal antibodies. LifeSpan provides antibodies and life science research reagents.
