In Tacoma, PCS Structural Solutions promoted Jack Pinkard to senior principal and Hai Lin to project engineer. In Seattle, it promoted Sunny Sidhu to project engineer. Pinkard has been with the firm for over 33 years. He is working on five replacement elementary schools for the Franklin Pierce School District, the Grays Harbor College Student Services building, and renovations and additions to the Highline College Health and Life Sciences Building.

Lin is working on the Muckleshoot Casino Hotel in Auburn and DaVita Headquarters expansion in Federal Way and is on PCS's steel design team. Sidhu has worked on high-end residential projects. He is working on the Seal Rock Residence and the Secret Beach Residence, and contributing on PCS's code team.

PCS is a structural engineering firm.

Portland-based Scott | Edwards Architecture hired Margaret Wilson as a project architect, Brandon Dole as a project manager, Megan Schmitz as an interior designer, Gillian Stoneback, Philip Viana and Robert Wilson as project designers and Malyia Pladziewicz as human resources manager. Margaret Wilson is on the design team for projects with Salem Health Hospital & Clinics. She has over 19 years of design and team leadership experience specializing in health care projects. Previous to joining S|EA, she spent 13 years at a Portland health care design firm. Dole has over 12 years of management experience from public sector projects including for federal and local agencies and universities. He is working on the Oregon City Operations complex and Audubon Society of Portland Wildlife Care Center renovation. Schmitz has four years of interiors and space planning experience. Her previous interior design experience includes work with a local architecture firm and industry vendor. She is on the teams for Rose Villa Senior Living Portland and Northbank Ambulatory Surgical Center in Salem, Oregon.

Stoneback has over eight years of design experience, most recently with senior housing. She will work on housing projects including the Hillside Manor Multifamily Tower renovation in Milwaukie, Oregon. Viana has over seven years of experience with a portfolio of multifamily, commercial, recreation and high-end residential. He is on the team for Tigard Triangle Apartments in Tigard, Oregon, and Mary Ann Apartments in Beaverton, Oregon. Robert Wilson holds a bachelor's in psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master of architecture from Portland State University. He is a team member on projects for Salem Health Hospital & Clinics. Pladziewicz has over 16 years of HR experience with architectural and interior design firms. Her responsibilities will include employee hiring and retention, and being a link between S|EA principals and their staff of over 85. She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources.

S|EA is a regional architecture, planning and interior design firm.

US Post Acute Care

In Tacoma, Swenson Healthcare CEO Dr. Darren Swenson founded US Post Acute Care, a provider of management services for post-acute clinics. The new company's services include billing, recruiting, training, compliance, analytics and practice development. It is using software developed by Swenson Healthcare called SmartPAC that targets post-acute care medical practitioners.

Wild Rose Food Co.

In Portland, Chuck Eggert launched Lulubelle's Creamery as part of Wild Rose Food Co. Lulubelle's produces milk from its own Willamette Valley dairies where cows graze in organic pastures and eat organic alfalfa. Wild Rose focuses on making products from Oregon farms that care about the treatment of animals. Eggert last year opened Basics, a local food market designed to help people cook more at home with fresh regional ingredients.

Symetra

Bellevue-based Symetra Life Insurance Co. committed $250,000 to the GSBA Scholarship Fund, a provider of LGBTQ scholarships. The multi-year pledge will also help launch the Symetra Empowers Scholarships program, which will support at-risk youth and the LGBTQ community in the Puget Sound region.

Fandozzi

Ann Fandozzi is the new CEO of Vancouver, B.C.-based Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. Fandozzi was CEO of Abra Auto Body & Glass in Minneapolis. Prior to that, she was CEO of ride-sharing company vRide. At Ritchie, she also will join the company's board when she starts on Jan. 6.

APA of Oregon

Sipos

The Asphalt Paving Association of Oregon elected Pete Sipos as board president. Sipos is vice president of Stayton, Oregon-based North Santiam Paving Co. and NSP Trucking. Other 2020 officers are: Randy High of Oregon Mainline Paving, vice president; Jason White of Wildish Construction Co. treasurer; and Rob Wienert of Road & Driveway Co., immediate past president. Board members include: Tim Connelly of McCall Oil Co., Ron Green of Lakeside Industries, Jason Fender of Knife River Northwest, Tony Rictor of RiverBend Materials, Mike Moore of High Desert Aggregate & Paving, and Eric Hill of American Concrete Cutting.

Horizon Distribution

Bechtel recognized Yakima-based Horizon Distribution as a top supplier in its annual Supply Chain Awards. Horizon provides maintenance, janitorial, personal protective equipment and other goods and services at multiple Bechtel locations, including the Hanford Site in Richland.

Airship

Lavoie

Portland-based Airship hired Michael Lavoie as senior vice president of customer success. Lavoie has over 20 years of marketing experience with global customer service organizations. He most recently was chief customer officer at software company Marketing Evolution. Airship has a digital platform for companies to manage customer communications.

Marchex

Seattle-based mobile advertising analytics company Marchex bought Sonar Technologies, a text and messaging sales engagement and analytics company. The deal was valued at $12.5 million in cash and stock, with up to an additional $1.5 million in stock if sales targets are hit.

Taiyo Pacific Partners

Kirkland-based fund manager Taiyo Pacific Partners increased its stake to over 5% in Yamashin Filter Corp. of Japan. Yamashin makes construction machinery oil filters. Taiyo manages over $2.4 billion in Japan-focused funds.
