Lease Crutcher Lewis

In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Jerry Kessler to senior superintendent, Francis Jaros and Joe Cao to VDC coordinators, and Sasi Butsakron-O-Pas to cost engineer. Kessler has been with the company since 2017 and focuses on corporate tenant improvements. Jaros and Cao have been with Lewis since 2017 as BIM detailers. Butsakron-O-Pas joined Lewis in 2015 as an operations assistant.

Cumming

In its Seattle office, international construction consultant Cumming added Aled Jenkins as associate director, Josiah Thompson as senior cost manager and Michelle Kelly as director of business development for the Pacific Northwest. The firm also expanded its local leadership team by adding 15 project managers, including Ali Khatibi, Tuschar Patel and Phil Killham as senior project managers. Recent promotions include Greg Williams to senior director, Rob Jones to director, Tommy Kelly and Tony Fratianne to senior project managers, and Karim Kamel to senior cost manager. Jenkins relocated from Cumming's Los Angeles office and Thompson moved from the company's Washington, D.C., office. Cumming has operated an office in Seattle for nearly five years.

Garco Construction

Spokane-based Garco Construction was certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction. AISC's certification programs set quality and safety standards for the structural steel industry. Garco says the certification enhances its steel erection quality control, documentation and safety. Garco also has an office in Tacoma.

Department of Ecology

Watson

Laura Watson is the new director of the state Department of Ecology. Watson was senior assistant attorney general in the Ecology Division of the Attorney General's Office, where she advised and represented Ecology's 10 environmental programs and the agency's administration. She also was deputy solicitor general in the Attorney General's Office. She replaces Maia Bellon, who led the agency for nearly seven years.

ExtraHop

In Seattle, ExtraHop hired Sri Sundaralingam as vice president of product and solutions marketing, and Phil Shigo as vice president of business development and strategic alliances. Sundaralingam was head of product marketing and go-to-market strategy for enterprise security at Symantec. Shigo was alliances executive at New Relic. ExtraHop is a provider of enterprise cyber analytics.

City of Seattle

The city of Seattle is accepting applications until Jan. 24 for several positions on the Seattle Pedestrian Advisory Board, which helps implement the Pedestrian Master Plan. The board advises the mayor and city council, participates in planning and project development, evaluates policies, and makes recommendations to city departments. Idaho SBDC

The Idaho Small Business Development Center won a $100,000 Portable Assistance Program award from the U.S. Small Business Administration. The money will be used to grow and retain small businesses in north-central Idaho. The center operates out of Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston.

Grazitti Interactive

Grazitti Interactive opened an office in Seattle as part of an expansion plan that includes a new office in Edmonton, Canada, and a new headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. Grazitti provides marketing automation, sales optimization and cloud services. It also has offices in Australia, Singapore and India, and plans to open in Boston and Austin, Texas.

Port of Everett

Marina Dock Age magazine named the Port of Everett Marina as Marina of the Year in the large marina category. The port says its marina is the largest publicly operated marina on the West Coast. Over 20 marinas nationwide were considered for the award. Everett Marina was cited for its recent in-water and upland developments, customer service, environmental standards, community and industry engagement, and unique special events. The magazine also recognized Port of Everett employee Kate Anderson with a Young Leader Award. Anderson is a communications specialist with the port.
