JND Legal Administration

JND Legal Administration, a legal management and administration services provider serving plaintiff and defendant firms, corporations and government entities, appointed Lorri Staal as vice president of operations. Staal has more than 20 years of complex litigation experience. She was a practicing attorney at Dechert LLP for 13 years before beginning her legal administration career in 2008. JND was founded in 2016 and has offices in Washington, California, Minnesota, New York, and Washington, D.C.

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney announced that it has named 17 new partners in the firm, effective January 1, 2021, including Bonnie Paskvan in the Anchorage office. Paskvan's area of specialty is regulatory affairs. Dorsey has locations across the United States and in Canada, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

T-Mobile

Bellevue-based T-Mobile is supporting Feeding America's mission to end hunger, and they're asking customers and employees to join them. For every act of kindness shared on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #CaptureKindness through December 4th, T-Mobile will donate $10 to Feeding America, up to $1 million. On Giving Tuesday, December 1st, for each customer that clicks on the Feeding America donation option in the T-Mobile Tuesdays app, the company will donate $1, up to $500,000.

Redmond-based GeoEngineers hired Jon Rodriguez as chief financial officer. Rodriguez has over 30 years of financial management experience in the A/E/C industry. He started his career as a business consultant and worked at design industry firms, mastering financial management and planning. As CFO or senior financial leader, he has experience in environmental remediation, consulting engineering, government contracting, regulatory outsourcing, design-build construction, program management, construction management, materials testing, inspection services and technology. He has overseen finances, business planning, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and helped shape firm strategy. Most recently, he was based in Seattle as CFO at a national environmental science and engineering firm. GeoEngineers is a consulting firm of engineers and earth scientists.

In Seattle, CollinsWoerman hired David Spangler as a specification writer, Chris Finch as a project manager, Kevin Hunt as a technical architect, and Ellen Kume, Salman Afsari and Will Allen as architectural designers. Spangler has over 30 years of architecture, design, construction contract administration, project management and specification writing experience. He has worked on high-rise, mixed-use commercial, education, industrial, residential, retail and healthcare projects. Finch has over 25 years of experience focusing on healthcare projects. Hunt has over 15 years of experience, focusing on providing building assessments, forensic investigations and other pre-construction services. He has taught as adjunct faculty at the NewSchool of Architecture and Design in San Diego. Kume has over two years of industry experience with project types that include medical, residential, senior facilities, hospitality and master planning. She holds a master of architecture degree with a specialization in urban architecture and urban design from the University of Oregon. Afsari has a range of experience in all phases of the building industry with over six years of experience in design, construction and BIM operating. Allen holds a bachelor of architecture degree from the California Polytechnic State University. He has worked on interior hospital renovations in the Bay Area including Stanford Health, UCSF and Kaiser. CollinsWoerman is a Seattle- and Spokane-based architecture, interiors, planning and sustainability firm.

Schnitzer Steel Industries

Schnitzer Steel Industries announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Glenda Minor as a new independent director. Minor will also serve as a member of the Board's Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees.

She is currently chief executive officer and principal of Silket Advisory Services, a privately-owned consulting firm. She was formerly senior vice president and chief financial officer of steel manufacturer, EVRAZ North America.

Schnitzer Steel Industries, which began operations in 1906 in Portland, is a manufacturer and exporter of recycled metal products.

Inland Cellular

Intelsat, operator of an integrated satellite and terrestrial network, and Inland Cellular, a regional mobile network operator serving communities in Pacific Northwest, are partnering to bring reliable 4G LTE broadband coverage to people in rural areas of Washington state, including remote construction, mining and camping sites. Intelsat partnered with U.S.-based equipment providers Comtech EF Data and Trilogy Networks. Inland Cellular, doing business as Inland Cellular and Emerge Technologies, has been providing wireless technology communications services since 1989 in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

Pacific Dental

Weingarten Realty announced that Pacific Dental is leasing 2,388 SF at Queen Anne Marketplace in Seattle. Queen Anne Marketplace is anchored by Metropolitan Market and Bartell Drugs. Pacific Dental Services was founded by Stephen Thorne in 1994, and handles the dental practice's administrative tasks. PDS supports over 800 offices in 23 states. Weingarten Realty Investors is a shopping center owner, manager and developer.

Foy Group founder Shawn Foy acquired the remaining shares of the greater Seattle-area electrical contracting company, making her sole owner. Foy is CEO and recent hire David Boeschenstein will lead the company as president. She said the company is strengthening its relationships with existing partners in the electrical market while adding solar and renewable energies to its offerings. Foy Group, founded in 1999, is a minority business with the Port of Seattle and is securing woman-owned business enterprise status with the state. It also is a member of the Puget Sound Chapter of NECA.

Trico Companies hired Casey Stewart as superintendent. Stewart has over 35 years of construction experience, starting his career detailing formwork drawings. Over the years he expanded into superintendent and project manager roles focusing on concrete construction, estimating, buyout, scheduling, subcontractor relations and safety.

UMC

Parker

Local mechanical engineering and construction company UMC hired Kevin Parker as senior business development representative. In his new role, Parker is focusing on UMC's manufacturing offerings to strategic customers and its Facilities Services Group. He has 25 years of experience in individual and corporate solicitation and stewardship, most recently as associate director of philanthropic gifts at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where he worked for over 13 years. Prior to that, he spent five years as community relations manager for the Seattle SuperSonics.
