Fortive

Fortive appointed Elena Rosman as vice president of investor relations, effective Nov. 29. Most recently, Rosman served as vice president, investor relations at Aptiv. Prior to Aptiv, she held various management roles in treasury, M&A and investor relations at Honeywell. Griffin Whitney will continue to lead the investor relations function throughout Rosman's onboarding period, before moving to a new role within Fortive's corporate development team to support the execution of the company's capital allocation strategy. Everett-based Fortive provides essential technologies for connected workflow solutions across a range of end markets.

City of Tacoma

The city of Tacoma is conducting a survey until Dec. 10 to evaluate the community's perceptions of city services. The survey is conducted every two years in preparation for the biennial budget. A total of 750 randomly sampled households — 150 from each council district — across Tacoma will have the opportunity to identify which services they feel are important, which service areas have improved over time, and which service areas could improve in the future. The community survey, administered by MDB Insight, will assess the city's performance in its major service areas, and help the city better understand community members' perceptions of these service areas. The survey findings will also help define the community's current priorities and aid the city's ongoing planning and improvement processes. Proliance Surgeons

Seattle-based Proliance Surgeons, one of the nation's largest independent health care practices, named Troy Simonson chief executive officer, and announced a new strategic relationship with Minnesota-based Revo Health. In his new role, Simonson will lead Proliance Surgeons' growth and innovation strategy. Simonson will also maintain his current role as CEO of Revo Health. Revo is a managed-services organization that specializes in supporting physician leaders across the country. Simonson has worked in the health care industry for over 25 years. His accomplishments at Revo include guiding the creation of Infinite Health Collaborative, an independent multi-specialty practice with over 200 physicians in the Twin Cities. Proliance Surgeons is a physician-owned-and-managed company, with more than 100 locations across Washington.

DCI Engineers

Loria

DCI Engineers, a civil and structural engineering firm, announced Kyle Loria, PE, has been promoted to project manager in the Seattle office. Since joining the firm, he has become a high-rise steel office and concrete/wood mixed-use structural expert. His current projects include 1001 Office Towers and The Artise, both located in Bellevue. Loria is a member of the in-house cold form steel, concrete, high-rise, steel & aluminum, and wood technical committees.

Jackson Main Architecture

Schmitz

Architect Steve Schmitz has joined Jackson Main Architecture in the firm’s Seattle office. Schmitz, an AIA member, previously worked at DLR Group as a project BIM manager on civic and educational projects, specifically the Tukwila Justice Center and the replacement JBLM Joint Regional Confinement Facility. He received the AIA Henry Adams Award in 2014 upon graduating from Washington State University with a master of architecture degree.

Schmitz will be joining a team of project leads, focusing on growing the company's portfolio of multi-family projects. He will lead project design, technical development, documentation, and the delivery of medium to larger projects, or comparable components of larger projects.

The Riley Group

Zuern

Eric Zuern, joined The Riley Group Inc. (RGI), as a project manager on the environmental services team. Zuern has approximately 15 years of professional experience in the environmental field. He specializes in environmental consulting services, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Subsurface Investigations, and remediation projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Zuern has also has developed strategies to characterize, mitigate, and/or remediate contaminants on numerous residential and commercial properties. RGI is a specialized environmental consulting and geotechnical firm headquartered in Bothell.

DreamBox Learning

Evergreen Coast Capital signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in DreamBox Learning, a Bellevue-based education technology provider that promotes intelligent adaptive learning. TPG's The Rise Fund will retain a significant minority stake and continue to be represented on the company's board of directors. The deal follows a record year for DreamBox, on target for over $100 million in revenue and nearly 40% growth as K-12 schools accelerate blended learning solutions. DreamBox also expanded its leadership team this year and acquired two companies in the English language arts market. The investment comes on the heels of The Rise Fund's recent acquisition of Teachers of Tomorrow, which adds to an education portfolio that includes EverFi, InStride and Renaissance Learning.

Fortive

Fortive's board of directors appointed Wright Lassiter III as a director, effective Jan. 1, 2022. Lassiter is president and CEO of Henry Ford Health System, a private, not-for-profit health system comprised of six hospitals, a health plan and wide range of ambulatory and retail health services. Prior to joining Henry Ford Health System in 2014, Lassiter was CEO of Alameda Health System in Oakland, California. He also is the chair-elect of the American Hospital Association board of trustees, starting in 2022. In addition, Lassiter is a director of Quest Diagnostics, a publicly traded diagnostic testing company, and the lead independent director of DT Midstream, a publicly traded energy company.
