Jones Lang LaSalle hired Roger Humphrey to run the life sciences division. Humphrey was executive director of global real estate at Merck and Co., an international developer, manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceuticals with a global real estate portfolio of more than 100 million square feet. Jones Lang LaSalle's life sciences division manages more than 70 million square feet of research, manufacturing and commercial space.
Seattle-based HomeStreet Bank is opening six home loan offices in northern and central California. They will be in Sonoma, Fairfield, Napa, Elk Grove, Campbell and Carmel Valley. The bank opened its first California home loan office in February in Pasadena. HomeStreet is 92 years old, and it has 23 branches and 34 home loan offices in the Pacific Northwest, California and Hawaii. HomeStreet said it was the number one lender for mortgages in the Puget Sound region last quarter.
Associa's EMB Management, which provides services to homeowner associations and developers, added two complexes to its portfolio. Colonial Grand Pacific is a 37-unit historic condo project in downtown Seattle. The Farm at Woods Creek is in Monroe and has 265 single-family houses and 82 townhouses. Dallas-based Associa says it is North America's largest homeowner association management firm, with 8,000 employees and more than 150 offices in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

CBRE has hired Mandy Edwards as global chief information officer. Edwards has worked as CIO for several large companies, most recently in General Electric's global exchange services division. Edwards will be based in Dallas, and work with senior leadership and IT teams. She has more than 25 years of experience.
Michael Nesteroff of Lane Powell and Kinnon W. Williams of Williams and Williams PSC will lead an all-day seminar on property easements Oct. 11 at City University in Seattle. KBS Capital Advisors said Groninger and Co., a company that provides filling and packaging equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, signed a 5,725-square-foot lease in Bellevue Technology Center. Advanced Micro Devices and Suhrco both renewed leases in the building, which is owned by a real estate investment trust related to KBS Capital Advisors. KBS also owns the Central Building in Seattle, Ridgewood Corporate Square in Bellevue and North Creek Parkway Center in Bothell.
