First condos poised to open at Port of Bellingham's Waterfront District

Over a decade ago, the Port of Bellingham launched an ambitious redevelopment plan for roughly 237 acres on and near the waterfront , much of it disused and even polluted industrial land, once home to a pulp mill. That's been dubbed the Waterfront District, which might see over 2 million square feet of new mixed-use construction.
