Professionals haven't come up with a workable plan to redevelop the north lot of Qwest Field. Maybe some university students can break through the logjam.
That's the thinking behind the second-annual NAIOP Real Estate Challenge, a kind of Northwest edition of "The Apprentice." The challenge brings multi-disciplinary teams from Portland State University, the University of British Columbia and the University of Washington to work with the region's real estate pros to come up with a plan for a particularly vexing property.
