Real Estate Buzz: Art on the drawing boards in Bellevue

Developer John Su is doing his bit for the arts.

He's funding art installations in a 2,000-square-foot space called Open Satellite in his 989 elements, a new downtown Bellevue high-rise apartment complex. A second phase of the complex called elements too is slated to open in autumn of 2008. The design by Cutler Anderson Architects calls for 50,000 square feet of retail — about a third of it arts-related — and a plaza for crafts shows and the like.
