When we think about Skagit County the first thing that pops up is cows and tulips, not industrial manufacturing. But this is changing thanks to a remarkably tight industrial market.
The Port of Skagit reports there is nearly 1.3 million square feet of space on port-owned property and it's 98 percent occupied. Only two vacant spaces are left, and the port is in negotiations for the larger one.
