On the Block: Built by Boeing (?!?!), Central District housing complex may be razed to build 244 new units
Bryant Manor was developed as affordable housing in 1971-1972 by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
It was part of a short-lived national HUD program, called Operation Breakthrough, that used factory-built components, with Boeing one of the general contractors.
