Kirkland Commerce Center, at 509 Sixth Ave. S., was developed in the 1980s on a triangle immediately east of the old railroad tracks, now the Cross Kirkland Corridor bicycle-pedestrian trail. The almost 2.9-acre property last traded in 1995 for $3.1 million to an investor group that includes the Alhadeff family.
Its neighbor, to the south and west, is Google, whose Kirkland campus was developed in phases by SRM Development of Spokane. Its Phase I architect was Lance Mueller Architects. Phase II was designed by DLR Group.
