The warning light flashed in my head the other day when the second person in a week said they "were just going to contact the lender suggested by my real estate agent."
The tender thread in the second case was the age of the buyer -- a 79-year-old widow. The woman simply wanted the entire home-and-loan package completed as soon as possible and was more concerned about the speed of the closing than the terms of the mortgage.
