When it comes to “employee motivation,” many firms get the message but still lack the heart. Just because you have the phrase “Our People Are Our Greatest Asset” emblazoned on a plaque in the lobby doesn’t necessarily make you a most desirable firm. You can even have higher than average salaries, great benefits and one of the most innovative incentive programs in the industry and still see significant numbers of your key people leave for greener pastures. Why is that?
