Dave Erickson of West Seattle has joined Lynnwood Mortgage Corporation's Northgate Branch. With five years of experience, Erickson will be a senior loan officer. He joins the company from U.S. Bank. Prior experience includes six years as a realtor.

Andy Wihtol has opened Andrew Associates, a new executive search firm located in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The company searches the nation and recruits leaders in the fields of information technology and financial/accounting, as well as senior corporate executives, for organizations located in the Northwest. Formerly, Wihtol served as president for Murphy, Symonds and Stowell.

Wells Fargo Bank

The U.S. Air Force's Mobility Command (AMC) has named Mike Worthy, Wells Fargo retail banking senior vice president, its "Distinguished Citizen of the Year" for 1996. The award was given in recognition of Worthy's role he plays in support of McChord Air Force Base. His ongoing support includes bringing members of the business community to the base to meet the Air Force officers and troops. He also invites the base's leaders to business and community events to keep them informed of the local issues outside their gates. Worthy was a key leader in the Puget Sound effort to work with the Base Realignment and Closure Commission to retain two military bases. He also spearheaded the establishment of a Community Action Council, to help build community support for McChord AFB. Western States Land Commissioners Association Washington Commissioner of Public Lands Jennifer Belcher has been elected president of the Western States Land Commissioners Association. Belcher has been elected to a one-year term heading the association that represents public officials who are collectively responsible for more than 200 million acres of state-owned lands in the West -- the vast majority of non-federal public lands in the United States. The Association, made up of the heads of state land management agencies in 23 states, provides leadership on land management and resource protection issues that come before Congress and the Executive Branch of the federal government.

KIXI-AM

Bob Liddle, on-air personality of nostalgia hits KIXI-AM (880), will celebrate 50 years in radio on August 2. Liddle has been with KIXI since 1961 and currently hosts a weeknight program from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. and "Bob's Big Band Brunch" on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Owned by Sandusky Radio of San Francisco, KIXI-AM plays "Great Songs and Great Memories," original pop hits of the 50's and 60's.

Piper Jaffray Inc. will host an open house on Wednesday, August 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., to celebrate its new location in Poulsbo. The new office is located at 19735 10th Ave N.E. Kobasic Hadley & Company

Kobasic Hadley & Company Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations has acquired the Seattle Aquarium as a pro-bono account. In 1994, Kobasic Hadley created the campaign to help free Ivan the Gorilla from the B & I Shopping Center. KH & C has also done work for PAWS to fight animal abuse. Their offices are located in Seattle.
