CB Richard Ellis

Bob Farra has rejoined the Bellevue office of CB Richard Ellis as a senior vice president. He will focus on brokerage for Puget Sound-area properties. Farra spent the last two years with Martin Smith, Inc. management as CEO. Prior to that, Farra worked 17 years with CB in both brokerage and management.

R.P. Management

Heath Carnes, director of operations for R.P. Management, Inc., has been named project manager of the Marqueen Hotel conversion at 600 Queen Anne Ave. in Seattle. Carnes has worked for the firm since 1994, when he became the general manager of the Inn at Queen Anne. He is a 14-year veteran of the hotel industry. R.P. Managment is a privately held real estate management and development corporation with properties in the Seattle area and Palm Springs, Calif. In addition to the Marqueen project, the company's portfolio includes the Inn at Queen Anne and apartment buildings on Capitol Hill, First Hill and in outlying areas of King County.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate has added two new sales agents to its Seattle-area offices. Robert Sesnon has joined the Bellevue-Commons office after working three years at Acura of Bellevue. And Michele Guihan is new to the Ballard office. She worked the previous three years as a quality control technician at American Seafoods Co.

Growth is topic at NAIOP breakfast

The July 22 membership breakfast of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties will feature a talk on urban growth by architect Gary Reddick of Sienna Architecture Co. in Portland. An advocate of adding density by building "up" rather than "out," Reddick has created successful mixed-use projects in the Portland area. The breakfast will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Bellevue Club. The cost is $18 for NAIOP member individuals and employees of developer members; $23 for member walk-ins; and $28 for non-members. Mint Farm Industrial Park opens Aug. 7

LONGVIEW -- The Mint Farm Industrial Park, a 125-acre development created by the city of Longview and paid for by general obligation bonds, will have a grand opening on Aug. 7. The development has already attracted two major tenants: Prudential Steel, Inc., of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Nitta Gelatin, of Osaka, Japan. Tualatin Commons fills up

TUALATIN, Ore. -- The Tualatin Development Commission will sell the final parcel of land at Tualatin Commons, the city's 19-acre mixed-use public/private development, to expand the existing Century Hotel and add a ground floor restaurant. The expansion will use the last undeveloped parcel at Tualatin Commons. It will be occupied by City Grill, a local steak and seafood restaurant.

'Warehouse suites' debut

SPOKANE -- Crown West Realty, L.L.C. has opened a new type of warehouse space at The Spokane Business and Industrial Park. Dubbed Crown WarehouseSuites, the eight spaces are designed for small, growing companies. They feature floor areas of 1,600 to 6,000 square feet, with vertical clearance up to 25 feet, 9 inches. The spaces have dock high doors and signage. Brent Long, director of marketing for Crown West, said "We've taken the executive suites concept and modified it for industrial use. Made Right in America exhibit

Union Square Limited Partnership, Unico Properties and Lowe Enterprises Investment Management are currently presenting "Made Right in America," featuring the work of Russell Wright, one of the nation's chief industrial artists of the 20th century. Shown are spun aluminum, glassware, furniture, textiles and "American Modern" dinnerware dating from the 1930s. The exhibit is in the Sixth Avenue lobbies of One and Two Union Square, 600 University, and ends July 31.
