Harbor Properties of Seattle has promoted Ron Cook to executive vice president of Harbor Resorts LLC and Ron Nova to vice president of Harbor Resorts. Cook, Harbor's former chief financial operating officer, will oversee operations at Stevens Pass and Mission Ridge ski areas and Freestone Inn of Mazama, Wash. Plus he will be responsible for growing the resort properties through acquisitions and development. He will continue as a board director of Harbor Properties. Nova is responsible for the management of Stevens Pass. He also will advise area managers at Mission Ridge. He began working at Stevens Pass at age 15 as a member of the volunteer patrol before moving to the professional patrol and on up the ranks until 1995 when he reached his current post as general manager.
Roxanne Yeo has joined CB Richard Ellis has a financial analyst. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
The 9-unit Klahowya Apartments, 855 W. Nickerson St., in Seattle was sold by Judy Thomas to Geordie Sze for $750,000. The seller was represented by Steven Sherman and the buyer by Robert Parmar. Both are with Marcus & Millichap.
Windermere staff members in the Seattle area teamed up with the Windermere Foundation to donate $3,900 to charities. Windermere donated $1,400 to Greenwood Elementary School for basic supplies, $1,000 to The Youth Advancement Through Music and Art and $500 each to the Seattle Emergency Housing Service, New Horizon Ministries and the Volunteer Services Holiday Gift Fund. Neighborhood Windermere offices that participated were Capitol Hill, Wedgwood, Northgate, Sand Point, Lakeview and Lake Forest Park.
Seattle Mortgage has arranged $720,000 in permanent financing for an 11,330-square-foot property on Capitol Hill. The 11th and Pine Building, owned and managed by the AJA Pine Street Partnership, includes various offices including Loaded for Bear Publishing, publisher of the alternative newspaper The Stranger. The financing arrangement was closed by Monica Griffith.
The Counselors of Real Estate elected Patty Dupre, CRE of Dupre + Scott of Seattle, to a three-year term on its board of directors. Dupre has been active in the organization, serving on many committees and as the 1998 vice president. The Counselors is the international counseling affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
Coldwell Banker Bain's Kirkland branch has moved to Northeast 85th and 120th Avenue Northeast. The branch outgrew its Market Street office where it had been for 22 years. It is now more centrally located and offers more high-tech office amenities, according to Phyllis Zander, the managing broker of the branch. The Kirkland branch houses the company's new training center.
The O'Day Group, a Seattle public relations firm that represents developers and other real estate professionals, has moved its office to 1904 Third Ave., Suite 922.
Transnation Title next year will kick off Breakfast with Transnation, a series of informal, semi-monthly forums for the legal community addressing such issues as real property law, escrow, title insurance underwriting, claims and policy coverage. The topic of the first breakfast, at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 14 at the Washington Athletic Club, 1325 Sixth Ave., in Seattle, is surveys. Peter Ostrander, a vice president of LandAmerica Financial Group, will introduce the presentation by John Jones of Commercial Title and Cynthia Thomas of Tousley Brain Law Firm.
