EvergreenBank

EvergreenBank signed a lease for a full-service branch to be located at 1111 Third Ave. in Seattle. The branch is slated to open for business in mid-2005. Other offices are on Eastlake Avenue and at South Lake Union.

EvergreenBank is a subsidiary of EvergreenBancorp, a bank holding company headquartered in Seattle.

Tarragon

John Hinds has joined the Seattle-based development company Tarragon as general manager of Kent Station. He will be responsible for managing tenant improvements as well as operation of the 470,000-square-foot entertainment/lifestyle center. The first phase is scheduled to open this year. Hinds began his real estate career as operations manager at Westlake Center in Seattle. Most recently, he was property manager of University Village.

Egis Real Estate Services

Kelly Beckley joined Egis Real Estate Services of Seattle as director of marketing.

Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo is expanding its commercial real estate lending and investment business in the Pacific Northwest by opening an office in Bellevue. Neil Maris will oversee the office and Tyson Feaster is relationship manager. They will originate loans and provide other financial services to middle-market developers across Washington. The group will share space with Wells Fargo's Regional Commercial Banking Office at 205 108th Ave. N.E.

Mastro Properties

Mastro Properties of Seattle has sold two small Redmond office buildings for $1.6 million each. Sun D. Hwang bought the 8,885-square-foot R.E. East Building, 18210 Redmond-Fall City Road. The Northwest Commission on Colleges bought the 7,049-square-foot Silvermark Building, 8060 165th Ave. N.E. This brings Mastro Properties' January sales volume to more than $33.2 million.

Grubb & Ellis

Stephen Cugier has joined Grubb & Ellis as an associate for the Seattle Office Services Group. He'll specialize in landlord and tenant representation of office space.

Hendricks & Partners

Tim Ufkes, Robin Hays and Kenny Dudunakis of the Seattle office of Hendricks & Partners negotiated the sale of Park Ridge, a 93-unit apartment in Kennewick. Park Ridge Apartments LLC of Mount Vernon sold it to Gordon Swope Jr. and Anne M. Swope of Steilacoom for $3.35 million.

Countrywide Home Loans

An initiative by Countrywide Home Loans and eight African-American churches in the Seattle area has helped 31 congregants buy homes. Another 168 churchgoers have attended credit management workshops. Participants can get pre-qualified for a home loan or receive budget counseling. There will be a celebration of the program at noon Jan. 29 at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center, 3515 S. Alaska St., Seattle.

Estate Association of Puget Sound

Paul Wells, author of "Rookie to Riches," will speak about the foreclosure process and strategies for buying distressed properties at two Real Estate Association of Puget Sound meetings. The first is tonight at 7 p.m. at Kane Hall on the University of Washington's Seattle campus. It's $15 for non-REAPS members. Wells will speak on the same subject at a day-long session at 9 a.m. Saturday at Lake Washington Technical College in Kirkland. Cost is $49. (425) 458-4797.
