As the DJC first reported last year, a Sears spinoff REIT plans to redevelop its nearly 15 acres at the old Overlake Plaza in Redmond, near the Microsoft headquarters and the future Overlake Village Station, where light-rail service will begin in 2023. The Sears closed last year.
Don't hate me, but the phased mixed-use development at 2200 148th Ave. N.E. is marching through permitting and design review under two names: Seritage Place and Heritage Place. Don't ask me why, or which is correct. The city of Redmond uses both monikers, too.
