Merlone Geier Partners is already well into the planning for a makeover of the former Aurora Square property, empty Sears store included, which it's rebranded as Shoreline Place. That phased mixed-use development, master planned by GGLO, could ultimately add some 1,300 residential units, new retail and open space along the west side of Aurora Avenue North in Shoreline.
Farther north in Lynnwood, near the future light rail station, MGP is now in the early stages planning of a similar but even bigger project: the old Lynnwood Square will become the mixed-use Northline Village, also to be developed in phases.
