Colliers Macaulay Nicolls

Peter Hwang has joined Colliers as a commercial real estate agent specializing in investment properties. He was formerly marketing director/venture capital with Pollutec Resources Inc.

Continental Mortgage

Heidi Hilliard joined the Bellevue residential lending branch of Continental Mortgage as a loan officer. She will work with Eastside real estate agents and home buyers. Hilliard has been in the business for two years and was previously a loan processor with the company's Federal Way branch.

Arcand Company

David Sebastian has been promoted to president of Arcand Company, a national sponsor of affordable housing tax credit programs for institutional investors. He was formerly senior vice president and chief financial officer. The Arcand Company has a portfolio of assets worth more than $1 billion consisting of 500 properties nationwide. Robert Arcand, founder of the Portland-based company, continues as chairman.

John L. Scott

Bruce and Cherie Durham have joined John L. Scott Tacoma North. They sell commercial and residential properties. Suzanne Smith is new in that office, along with David Gala, Mary Steenson, Bob McCarthy, Michael Tran and Sandy Lundquist.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate Auburn office has added two new associates: David Destefano and Porter Sigler. Susan Harrington is new in the Bellevue office and Jeffrey Jurgensen is new in the Wall Street office.

CREW panel on I-164

Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Northwest is featuring a panel discussion on Initiative 164 at its July 12 luncheon. The panel will include Robert Derrick, director of the King County Dept. of Development and Environmental Services, Lucy Steers of the League of Women Voters, Bill Conner, president of Conner Development and Glenn Amster, partner in Lane Powell Spears & Lubersky. The luncheon will be at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers with registration starting at 11:45 am.

ICONCO Inc. has announced the reopening of its Northwestern regional office, and has appointed William E.Rose as vice president/general manager. Rose was formerly vice president for Olshan Demolishing Co., and business development and operations manager for Cleveland Wrecking Co. ICONCO Inc. is a nationwide demolition and salvage company with experience ranging from selective interior demolition to complete plant dismantlement and salvage. The company also offers environmental services from asbestos and lead abatement to superfund projects.

Direct response Advertising agency CF2GS, a subsidiary of True North Communications with offices in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Reno, has hired John Holm as associate creative director for U.S. Bank and senior art director for clients L.A. Cellular and the California State Automobile Association. Holm worked for several years as an independent television commercial director and with Wyoming Films. Previously, he served as an art director for EvansGroup Advertising, Wells Rich Greene/New York, and Cole & Weber in Seattle.

The Pinnacle Consulting Group Inc.

Woodinville-headquartered The Pinnacle Consulting Group, which provides industrial facility planning and material handling systems design and implementation for warehouse/distribution, manufacturing, and repair and maintenance industries, has added Saralynn Ness to its staff as a summer intern. Ness, a student at Cornell University in New York State, is entering her senior year in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering.

The Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel

The Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, formerly the WestCoast Everett Pacific Hotel, has added three members to its staff. Jan Goyt has been appointed director of sales and marketing. Previously, Goyt was director of sales and marketing for Campbell's Resort and Conference Center in Chelan. The new catering director for the facility is Vera Waltner. Waltner was formerly catering director for the Tulalip Inn in Marysville and the Marina Village Inn in Everett. And, Goi Holliday-Brown has been hired as corporate sales manager. Holliday-Brown comes from the Holiday Inn, Renton, where she worked as sales manager.

Kindred Nolan & Callahan Advertising

Kindred Nolan & Callahan Advertising, a new advertising agency founded by three former Elgin Syferd/DDB Needham employees, has opened its doors in Seattle with several new accounts including West One Bank. Agency principals are: Vandy Kindred, senior copywriter; Kevin Nolan, senior art director; and Dan Callahan, account supervisor.

Gregory Laycock, investment properties specialist at Grubb & Ellis Company, has been awarded the certified commercial investment member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

UNICO Properties

Bo Peck has been named office/retail leasing manager by UNICO Properties. Peck will handle office and retail leasing for the company's managed properties in downtown Seattle.

CB Commercial

CB Commercial Real Estate Group has rehired Hans Siebert, who left CB in 1989 and formed Pacific Eastern Real Estate Group, as a senior vice president. Scott Davis has also recently joined CB Commercial as a sales assistant in their Bellevue office.

Chiles & Company

Theodore Garman, associate broker with Chiles & Company Inc., has been awarded the certified commercial investment member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.

Continental Mortgage

The income property finance department at Continental Mortgage Company of Seattle has named Bryan Foxley to the president's club for being the top producer of commercial real estate loans.

Common Ground

Christina Narr has been appointed as executive director of Common Ground,, a Seattle-based low-income housing development organization. Narr has served over a decade as the associate director of the Seattle-King County YWCA.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate has hired four new sales associates to offices in the greater Seattle area. They include: Robert Ott, Bellevue Commons; Andrew Donovan, Lakeview; David Kelly, Northwest; and John Packard, Renton.

Home remodeling workshop

Two free workshops about the FHA 203k and Conventional remodeling/rehabilitation home loans are offered every Thursday, 12 pm to 6 pm, at Continental Mortgage Company, located at 22001 66th Ave. W., in Mountlake Terrace. Homebuyer education seminar

The Washington State Housing Finance Commission will sponsor a free community homebuyer education seminar on June 27 and 28. The seminar, which totals five hours in length, will be held at First Mutual Bank, 2038 N.W.
