McKnight & Company

Seattle-based public relations and marketing communications firm McKnight & Company Inc. has added Liz Chalmers as controller and B.J. Livingston to its administrative staff. Chalmers will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting department. Her prior experience includes positions as chief accountant at Jones & Jones Architects in Seattle; consultant at Dominion Lumber in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and portfolio accounting manager for Copley Real Estate Advisors in Boston. Livingston's background includes working administration for the Washington Society of CPAs, Mail-Well Envelope Co. and the Mercer Island Reporter. Prior to that, she was a classroom teacher for various public schools around the country.

Nobeltec

John Grady, formerly a commercial real estate broker with Cushman & Wakefield Inc., has been named director of marketing for Nobeltec Corp., an Issaquah-based marine software developer. Nobeltec is scheduled to release its first product, a navigation software program for commercial and recreational boaters, in September. Called NavTrek, it will be the first software program of its kind designed for Windows 95.

Everett Area Chamber of Commerce

Dennis Richard has been selected as director of communications and government affairs for the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce. His responsibilities will include managing Chamber publications, marketing communications, legislative issue management and government relations. Richards has 16 years of experience in communications and marketing, most recently serving as consultant to Skagit County-area businesses involved in healthcare, lodging, food service, publishing, real estate, construction and retail sales. He has also been involved with Chambers of Commerce in both Skagit County and Southern California. Before moving to Skagit County, Richards was director of corporate relations for multi-site health corporation Inter-Community Health Services in Covina, Calif., where he worked for 12 years. He has also worked as a trade show director.

Cortelyou to head Rotary

The Rotary Club of Seattle has elected David Cortelyou as president. Cortelyou is currently president and chief executive officer of UNICO Properties. He replaces Bruce Walker.

Kiemle & Hagood

Mark Lucas, a sales associate with Kiemle & Hagood Company, has recently completed a 44,000-square-foot lease to The Boeing Company and a 2.5-acre land sale to Ederer Properties in the Spokane Business and Industrial Park. The Boeing Company will use its leased warehouse space to store aerospace parts for its Spokane assembly operation. Ederer Properties, a Portland-based thermal treatment company, will construct a 10,000-square-foot building to house Inland Metallurgical Services Inc.

1995 MAME Awards

Homebuilders and industry associates who provide design, interior and exterior merchandising, sales and marketing support, and related services are invited to submit entries to MAME (Major Achievement in Market Excellence) 1995. The awards are sponsored by the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Also Lisa Kennan-Meyer has been named chairperson of MAME 1995. Columbia Consulting Group Inc. in Portland has been formed. The company provides real estate consulting services to pension funds, institutions, corporations and individuals.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate has hired several new associates to the Seattle area offices. They include: Emily Farrell and Francie Gannon, Redmond; John Logue, Bellevue; Keith Dewey, Burien; and Mary Bundrant, Shoreline.

Coldwell Banker

Phyllis Zander, managing broker of Kirkland's Coldwell Banker Bain Associates office, has completed the final course in the national certification process for the certified real estate brokerage manager (CRB).

Century 21

Century 21 as added six new sales associates to offices in the greater Puget Sound area. They are: Jeannie Vanhove, Century 21 Realty Professionals; Gary Whitney and Lisa Laneston, Century 21 All Star; and Kaili McIntyre, Kamel Singh, and Rutha Thomas, Century 21 Northgate Real Estate Inc.

Real estate workshop

A.S.P.I.R.E., a non-profit investors association is offering a real estate workshop Aug. 1, at the Shoreline Conference Center, 18560 First Ave. N.E.
