Pacific Coast Investment

Pacific Coast Investment Co. has named Tracy Edgers to vice president at its Seattle office. Edgers will be responsible for originating real estate loans and managing the company's real estate assets.

Weyerhaeuser Real Estate

Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company has promoted J.J. McCament from project manager to general manager of Northwest Landing, the mixed-use, planned community in Dupont. McCament supervises planning, construction, financial management, marketing and sales, and was instrumental in bring Intel Corporation to Northwest Landing. Intel is building a research and assembly campus at Northwest Landing that will eventually employ 6,000 people. Jim Nyberg is taking on expanded responsibilities, which include the new title of general manager at the planned community Snoqualmie Ridge. Nyberg also serves as assistant vice president for Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company's Land Management Division, which owns and manages approximately 14,000 acres in Washington and Oregon and is currently developing the master-planned communities of the Northwest Landing, Snoqualmie Ridge and Meridian Campus.

`Talking houses'

Tom Heriford and Susan Santos, sales associates with the Prudential Michael Smith Realtors in Bellevue, are using the "talking house" as a effective marketing tool. The "talking house" is a transmitter the size of a telephone answering machine that plugs into any grounded outlet inside the house. A message on a yard sign tells potential buyers who are driving by the property to tune their car radio to AM station 1610 and listen to the message which can be up to three minutes in length and heard from 250 to 300 feet away. The agents currently have five listings.

Continental Mortgage

Continental Mortgage Company announced that Rick Peterson has joined the Bellevue branch of Continental Mortgage Company. He will assist real estate agents and home buyers in providing home financing programs. Peterson has over 20 years of experience in the real estate and mortgage industry.

FHA 203k rehab loan workshop

Free workshops are being offered by the Mountlake Terrace Branch of Continental Mortgage Company on the FHA 203k Rehab and Remodel loan, as well as the FHA Plus. The 203k loan allows one to make repairs or improvements to an existing home and roll the cost of the work done into a low interest home mortgage. The workshops are held every Monday at 6 p.m., every Tuesday at noon and 6 p.m., and every Thursday at noon and 6 p.m. For more information call 771-2500, or 1-800-671-7788.

Olypmia Federal Savings

Dr. John D. Ishii, former president of St. Martin's College, has retired from his position on the board of directors for Olypmia Federal Savings. Dr. Ishii will be succeeded by Kathleen Bauknight, director of real estate for St. Martin's Abbey.1996.

Continental Savings Bank

Laurie L. Robinson has been promoted to assistant vice president of escrow at Continental Savings Bank. Robinson joined Continental in 1992 and has 15 years of experience in the escrow industry.

Lynnwood Mortgage Corporation

Lynnwood Mortgage Corp has announced the addition of two new loan officers, Kristin Blackmer and Michael Johnson, and an underwriter/loan officer, Jean Okubo, to its Northgate Branch which opens May 6. The Brach is located at 115th NE 100th Street, Suite 110, Seattle, WA 98125.

Preston Industrial Park

Benard Development Company announced that Ride, Inc. continues expansion in Building 3 of the I-90/Preston Industril Park, owned by Bernard. Ride manufactures, sells, and distributes, snowboards, bindings, and snowboard clothing world wide. Ride located its headquarters and warehouse/distribution center to Preston in April 1995, occupying 31,200 square feet of office and warehouse space. The company expanded in September 1995, adding 4,300 square feet of binding assembly space. In January 1996, Ride expanded again, adding 52,000 square feet of warehouse space. In April 1996, Ride started construction of additional tenant improvements that will bring its total occupied office, warehouse, and assembly space in Preston to approximately 100,000 square feet. Following the expansion now under construction by Ride, Inc., the Preston Industrial Park Will have more than 600,000 square feet of building space and 900 employees. Half of this building space is in the 1-90/Preston Industrial Park portion owned by Bernard Development Company.

Windermere

Sale associate Lee Lageschulte with Windermere Real Estate's Shoreline office was accepted for inclusion in the 1996 Who's Who in Residential Real Estate in North America, a directory of the top real estate sale executives in the United States and Canada. Effective May 1, Trails Ends Real Estate, with offices in Shady Cove and Eagle Point, Oregon, will affiliate with Windermere. The office will remain locally owned and operated.

Tom Coleman has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation by the Residential Sale Council of the Realtors National Marketing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Road to Successful Homebuying

Cornerstone Home Loan Center is offering free homebuying seminars entitled "The Road to Successful Homebuying." Trained professionals from the mortgage, real estae, appraisal, title, and escrow industries will take attendees through the entire home buying process, covering topics such as qualifying for a loan, interest rates, various loan options, what to look for in a home, inspections, apprailsals, title insurance, and closing costs. CREW

Commerical Real Estate Women-Northwest will host discussions of current legal topics at its May 22 breakfest. Topics include Unlawful Detainers, the Bankruptcy Maze, Environmental Issues, and the Arbitration Game. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend two discussions during the breakfest.
