ScanlanKemperBard Companies

Robert J. Holmes, former executive director of the Portland Development Commission and CEO and president of Harbor Properties, Inc. in Seattle, has been named director of ScanlanKemperBard Companies, a real estate investment, merchant banking and development company headquartered in Portland. Prior to his position with Harbor Properties, Inc. Holmes started Intrawest in the United States 10 years ago and held a variety of positions within the company including president and CEO and chairman.

John L. Scott

John L. Scott, has announced the opening of the North Spokane office. The office is located at 220 West Francis. Franchise owner Dwight Hille plans to have 20 agents on staff. John L. Scott also announced the opening of two Thurston County franchises, Lacey South and Lacey North, in the Hawks Praire area. Building is nearly complete on brand-new offices for each location. Ron Hackler, is opening up his third franchise with John L. Scott. Sean Johnsrud has joined John L. Scott's Corporate office as a market analyst for the Builder Services Division. Johnsrud comes to John L. Scott from a previous position as community sales manager for Polygon NW. Ture Anderson, Jr. has been appointed to John L. Scott's corporate office as director of research and marketing for the Builder Services Division.

RW Robideaux & Company

Macheele Dinneen has been promoted to managing director of retail properties. Her new responsibilities put her in charge of the operations of all retail properties managed by RW Robideaux. Dinneen has worked in the real estate industry for over eight years specializing in shopping center marketing, operations, special event programming, development and management. RW Robideaux has also announced the promotion of Rick Dickey to managing director of residential properties. As managing director he will oversee the management of the residential properties department, who manage all apartment properties, homeowner associations and mobile home parks, under management contracts with RW Robideaux clients. Denise Harfield has been selected to be director of leasing. Harfield will be directing the leasing group for all commercial managed accounts. Gary Clark has been promoted to vice president of RWR Northwest, a subsidiary of RW Robideaux & Company. Clark has over 30 years of experience in the real estate business.

First Citizen Award Banquet

The 1996 Seattle-King County Citizen Award Banquet honoring Stanley O. McNaughton, will be held on May 30, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Seattle Sheraton Hotel, 1400 6th Avenue. The First Citizen Award is the longest standing and most prestigious public service award of its kind in Seattle. The award has been given annually since 1939 by the Seattle-King County Association of Realtors on behalf of local citizens to recognize community service leaders and encourage others to become active in community programs and issues. Windermere

Windermere Real Estate has announced the addition of six new sales associates. Lynnell Sanders has joined the Oak Tree. Connie Lappin and Judith Henke have joined the Windermere's Sand Point office. The Alderwood office welcomes sales associate Dawn Runyan. Bob Hackett comes to the Bellevue-south office and Ted Alton joins the Eastlake office.

Coldwell Banker Plateau moves to new office

The Coldwell Banker Plateau office in Enumclaw recently relocated its office to 2820 Griffin Avenue, Suite 100, Enumclaw, WA 98022. Previously, the company had been located at 2987 Griffin Avenue.

Walker and Associates

Vanessa Sawyer has joined Walker and Associates as photogrammetry supervisor. She will be supervising Walker's night shift stereo compilers, tracking work and performing QA/QC model checks. Current project responsibilities include overseeing the Hanford DOE stereo compilation, updating Nooksack River maps for Whatcom County and assisting with the Puyallup River project for the Pierce County Department of Public Works.

Brownfields technology workshop planned

SEATTLE -- The Duwamish Coalition, the Washington Environmental Industry Association and the Environmental Coalition of South Seattle will present an environmental technology workshop on June 6. Called "Duwamish Brownfields Environmental Technologies '96," the workshop is designed to educate land owners, business owners, bankers and real estate brokers about new technologies for cleaning contaminated brownfields. The workshop is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Aerospace Machinists District Lodge in Seattle. The technologies to be discussed include: capping; dig and haul; thermal; pump and treat; solidification; in situ fixation and bioremediation; surface bio; sub-surface air movement; six-phase heating; soil washing; and plant technology. The event will include a Continental breakfast, displays by exhibitors and a box lunch. Interested individuals may view technologies at work in the field from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The workshop fee is $20 a person. The cost of a box lunch is $10. Environmental and land use law seminar

OCEAN SHORES -- The Environmental and Land Use Law Section midyear meeting and seminar is scheduled for June 6-8 at Shilo Inn, 707 Ocean Shores Blvd. N.W., Ocean Shores. Sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association, the three-day meeting and seminar will focus on case law and legislative updates, Growth Management Hearings Board cases, cost-effective approaches to cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated industrial properties, the Model Toxics Control Act, the Land Use Petition Act and the implementation of ESHB 1724 at the local level.
