Short Cressman & Burgess

Scott R. Sleight has joined Short Cressman & Burgess as of counsel. Sleight is formerly an associate with Barokas Martin Ahlers & Tomlinson. He will join the firm's construction and real estate litigation practice groups.

Sorrento Hotel

Stan Kott is the new vice president and general manager of the Sorrento Hotel. Kott replaces Jim Treadway, who stepped down to focus on his role as president and CEO of MTM Management which operates the Sorrento and five other luxury properties in the Northwest. Kott most recently served as general manager of the Edgewater Hotel and has been associated in the past with Timberline Lodge, Salish Lodge, Salishan Resort in Oregon and Topnotch Resort in Stowe, Vt.

The Fearey Group

The Fearey Group named Deborah Alwine account coordinator and hired DeAnn Snider as a summer intern. Alwine will assist with public relations for Boeing Realty Corp. Alwine worked as an intern for the Pittsburgh-based public relations firm Skutski & Oltmanns. Snider is a senior at Pennsylvania State University

Colliers Real Estate Management Services

Gleason

John Gleason became managing director at Colliers Real Estate Management Services Group, Colliers International's property management group. He'll oversee seven property managers and 12 engineers who handle 4.5 million square feet in the Puget Sound area. Gleason comes from Equity Office Properties Trust , where he managed 4.2 million square feet, including a 3 million-square-foot industrial and R&D portfolio for a joint venture of RREEF and CalPERS. In 1999 he oversaw the award-winning renovation of a 1.1 million-square-foot property in Los Angeles. His 17 years of experience include working for Divco West Group, Trammell Crow Co. and Kemper Real Estate Management.

Intracorp

Intracorp Merrill Creek LLC sold lot B of its Merrill Creek industrial park in Everett to Ronald Jones, according to Puget Sound Properties. The lot totals 119,700 square feet and is at 75th Street Southwest and Hardeson Road. Puget Sound Properties brokers Darrell Okada and Richard Peterson worked the deal.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate office in Ballard

House sales are going well enough for Steve and April Kieburtz, owners of the Windermere Real Estate office in Ballard, that they started building themselves bigger offices. Construction started this month on an 8,000-square-foot structure next to the old Blazes Broiler, at 2636 N.W. Market St. The existing office houses more than 40 agents at 5900 24th Ave. N.W. When ready by year-end, the new office will be able to hold 60 agents, with significantly better parking, and "space for an on-site mortgage company," the Kieburtzes said.

Vicki Stewart became a sales associate in Windermere's Eastlake office. Stewart previously worked for Prudential MacPherson's. Shannon Burgett joined the Queen Anne office. She previously worked as a sales consultant.

Prudential MacPherson's

Gary Sweat became a sales associate in Prudential MacPherson's Lynnwood residential office. Maria LaFuente and Mai Moua joined the Renton office. Dianne Gardner started in the Seattle North office. Derek Brown, Maya McLain and Bill Roper joined the Woodinville office.

Quadrant

William Boucher was promoted to vice president of marketing and public relations at developer Quadrant Corp. He was assistant vice president of marketing for Quadrant's three planned communities. The new position adds marketing commercial projects to his chores. Boucher joined Quadrant in 1999 after working for 13 years in American Express offices in Phoenix, New York and Washington, D.C. He holds an MBA from Arizona State University
