Opus Northwest

Vall Spinosa

Opus Northwest has promoted Terra Vall Spinosa to senior real estate management. She joined Opus in 1998 and has worked on the company's Riverbend Commerce Center, Glacier Cascade and Emerald Corporate Park projects. More recently, she was lead on development of Opus I-90 Business Center in Preston, Opus Park 167, Sumner Landing North, Pacific Coast Corporate Park and Northwest Landing. She will focus on leasing, marketing and opportunities for future development.

Rebuilding Together Seattle

Real estate and construction professionals were among 2,000 volunteers who provided free home repairs to 47 low-income, elderly and disabled families during the April 24 Rebuilding Together, Seattle's annual spring rebuilding day. Volunteers came from Vulcan, Trammell Crow Co., and the Associated General Contractors of Washington. Wright Runstad & Co.

Wright Runstad & Co. has rolled out a new emergency preparedness campaign, Project R.E.D. (Ready for Emergencies and Disasters), designed to encourage emergency preparedness among tenants and employees in Seattle and Portland. Before 9/11, training centered on fire safety and earthquakes, but the rise of terrorism has broadened the scope to include suspicious substances, lockdowns and mail safety. Project R.E.D. combines eye-catching, light-hearted images with serious messages.

Debbie Johnson, who is new to real estate, has joined the Queen Anne office of Windermere Real Estate.

Seattle University Downtown Alumni group

Kemper Freeman Jr. will outline his plans for Lincoln Square and discuss his vision for the future of Bellevue at a 7:30 a.m. May 11 breakfast at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle. Seattle Biomedical Research Institute

The Seattle Biomedical Research Institute is inviting real estate professionals to a networking breakfast at 7:30 a.m. May 18 at The Triple Door, 216 Union St., Seattle. Sonus Pharmaceuticals CEO Michael Martino and state Superintendent of Public Instruction Terry Bergeson will talk about the institute's BioQuest science education program. Officials of Carr America, McKinstry, NBBJ, Vulcan, Sparling and Skanska came up with the idea for the program. The breakfast event is free, but reservations are required by May 7. Rowley Properties

Rowley Enterprises, a 50-year-old, family-run development business in Issaquah, has a new name, Rowley Properties Inc., and as CEO George "Skip" Rowley prepares to retire, daughter Kari Magill Rowley is assuming leadership of the company. Kari Rowley is not new to the business; she and her father have been running the company for many years.

Trammell Crow

Dave Young and Dwight Newell have joined Trammell Crow Co.'s brokerage team and will focus on the Eastside. Young, a 19-year commercial real estate veteran who joins the company as a vice president, previously worked for Cushman & Wakefield. He has completed more than 550 leases and sales for clients such as General Motors, Compaq and Procter & Gamble. Newell joins the company as a senior associate. He previously worked at Schnitzer Northwest as a senior investment manager for the Eastside suburban office market.

Robertson Capital

Benjamin S. Saxton has joined Robertson Capital Corp. of Bellevue. He is responsible for developing new business relationships, originating commercial real estate mortgages and providing consulting services. Robertson Capital is a commercial real estate mortgage and consulting firm founded by Bank of America alumnus John G. Robertson in 1997.

Noble House Hotels and Resorts

Marc Pujalet has been promoted to president of Kirkland-based Noble House Hotels and Resorts. Pujalet, a 27-year veteran of the travel industry, joined Noble House a year ago. In his new role, he retains his duties as chief marketing officer. Noble House CEO Jake Donoghue said Pujalet was named president to help the private company grow. Williams Marketing

The developers of the Braeburn mixed-use project on Seattle's Capitol Hill have hired Williams Marketing to sell the 147 condos and seven townhomes. Williams Marketing officials say their company has grossed more than $1 billion in sales in the last decade.

Panattoni Development

Now that Bart Brynestad has been hired as a partner to open a Seattle-area office for Panattoni Development Co., partner Mike Wells is re-devoting all of his time to the Portland market. Wells had been in charge of Panattoni's activities in both Portland and Seattle. He expects to be busy, saying the Portland market's potential is extraordinary. The private company has developed more than 545,000 square feet in Oregon. During the last five years, the Sacramento, Calif.-based firm has developed an average of nearly 10 million square feet annually.

HomeStreet Bank

HomeStreet Bank will give seven $10,000 gifts to nonprofit organizations that serve housing needs. The Community Housing Awards will be granted throughout the regions where HomeStreet has branches, including King, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston counties.
