Schuler Properties

Schuler Properties has the listing for Outback Plaza, a 46,000-square-foot property on 4.5 acres at 38th and Cedar in Tacoma. The asking price is $3.4 million, which Schuler officials calculate is an 8 percent cap rate.

HomeStreet Capital

Seattle-based HomeStreet Capital officials have provided $19.5 million in permanent financing to Weiss-Jenkins VI, LLC for the Republican Building, 501 Eastlake Ave. E., in Seattle. Tim Patrick arranged the financing. The five-story, 100,000-square-foot building was constructed in 2001, and is 95 percent occupied by several departments from the University of Washington, Howard S. Wright Construction and Pro Sports Club. Patrick said the project came on line during the collapse of the dot-com industry. Several floors had been pre-leased to a telecommunications company, which took occupancy but immediately went out of business.

Grubb & Ellis

Grubb & Ellis has opened its main office in Suite 1400 of Two Union Square in downtown Seattle. The brokerage will continue to maintain a Bellevue office. The Seattle office phone number is (206) 388-3000.

Port Blakely Communities

Port Blakely Communities has listed view and estate properties at Harrison Street and Grand Ridge Drive in the Issaquah Highlands. Custom homes are going for between $1.5 million and $5 million. Port Blakely President Judd Kirk said people have been seeking an Eastside neighborhood more reminiscent of Seattle neighborhoods like Laurelhurst, Magnolia and Washington Park.

GE Commercial Finance

Volunteer efforts by employees in the Bellevue office of GE Commercial Finance helped win GE an award from the Points of Light Foundation. Former president George Bush presented the award to the company. GE contributed more than $140 million and 1 million volunteer hours last year. In King County, employees contributed to Domestic Abuse Women's Network, Northwest Harvest, Rebuilding Together Seattle, Plymouth Housing Group and other organizations.

MILA Inc.

MILA Inc., the wholesale non-prime lender also doing business as Mortgage Investment Lending Associates, sponsored the Snohomish County Boys and Girls Club Campaign for Kids lunch earlier this month. Club officials say they met the $150,000 goal, $12,000 more than last year.

John L. Scott Real Estate

Laura Ballman has been promoted to vice president of marketing of John L. Scott. She was director of marketing and advertising. Sales associates Lynne Prince and Patrice Diehl have joined the company's Kingston office.

Windermere Real Estate

Julie Burgess is a new sales associate at the Ballard office of Windermere. The company's Community Service Day was Friday. It is nationally recognized as a model volunteer program.
