Todd Shipyards elected William L. Lewi to its board of directors. Lewis is president and chief executive officer of Lease Crutcher Lewis, a construction firm headquartered in Seattle. Todd Pacific Shipyards repairs and maintains commercial and federal government vessels.

Lane Powell Spears Lubersky

Amster

NAIOP has appointed Glenn Amster, a partner at the Seattle law firm Lane Powell Spears Lubersky, to the Associates V — Developer Entitlements Forum. The forum focuses on permitting, concurrency, new urbanism and growth management. The National Association of Office and Industrial Properties organized the event, one of 17 national forums for senior-level NAIOP members.

Seco Development

Seco Development's Juanita Village in Kirkland won the 2004 Multifamily Executive Award for Best Re-Use of Land. It's the latest in a string of awards for the development that replaced a 1950s-era retail center. Now it's a European-style, pedestrian-oriented village of shops, restaurants, lofts, townhomes, studios and flats. Renton-based Seco worked with GGLO Architects, the planning and land-use consulting company of Stalzer & Associates and Kane Environmental. The 196-unit Chelsea Apartments is fully leased. Avalon at Juanita Village, which has 211 units, is under construction. Construction of another 173 units is to begin next year.

Williams Marketing

Williams Marketing, a marketer and seller of condominiums, has hired Brett Frosaker as developer representative. He has 15 years' experience in the Seattle real estate market.

NBS and Capstone

The principals of NBS Real Estate Capital of Portland and Capstone Partners LLC of Seattle and Portland have formed a joint venture and acquired a 12-story office building at 100 W. Liberty St., in Reno, Nev., for $20 million. Chris Nelson, Capstone managing principal, said the partners plan significant improvements at the 150,000-square-foot building.

HouseValues Inc.

Clayton Lewis has been named chief operating officer of HouseValues Inc., and Richard Mendenhall has joined the Bellevue company's board of directors. HouseValues gives residential real estate agents leads from its HouseValues.com and JustListed.com Web sites. The company also provides an online prospect management system, coaching and training. Lewis was president and COO of Onvia. Mendenhall is a former National Association of Realtors president and has owned real estate brokerage firms related to Re/Max International. He currently owns Re/Max Boone Realty in Missouri.

NAIOP

Two hundred fifty volunteers from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties will descend on the Ruth Dykeman Children's Center in Burien at 8 a.m. Saturday for NAIOP's annual community enhancement program. Participants will build trails and a ramp, paint and make repairs. The Dykeman Center, 1033 S.W. 152nd St., provides services to families with special needs. Satsop Development Park

Officials from Satsop Development Park and the Grays Harbor area will be in Seattle Sept. 30 to recruit businesses to Southwest Washington. The delegation will host a reception from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Artists' Gallery of Seattle 902 First Ave. S.
