The law firm of Graham & Dunn added two new attorneys: Susan M. Johnson and M. Owen Gabrielson. Johnson joins the firm as Of Counsel. Johnson has experience in both liquor licensing and general business law. Johnson primarily represents alcoholic beverage manufactures, breweries, wineries, restaurants and hotels. Gabrielson joins the firm's financial services team as an associate in February 2006. Gabrielson has experience in bankruptcy and creditors' rights, title insurance and escrow litigation, and commercial litigation and appeals.

Staubach Co.'s Northwest corporate services office has hired Vickie Cleator as a project manager with the Design and Construction Consulting Services team. She has more than 20 years experience, primarily in biotech, managing design, construction and operation of labs, drug manufacturing and corporate office facilities. Cleator was director of capital projects for Corixa Corp., and managed lab and office space in the Life Sciences Building at Ninth and Stewart. Staubach is a real estate advisory firm.
Anne Lawler, a commercial real estate attorney with the Seattle law firm of Jameson, Babbitt, Stites & Lombard, will chair the CREW Foundation board of trustees for a two-year term. The foundation is the philanthropic arm of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Network, and helps women and girls achieve economic self-sufficiency and promotes the entry of women into commercial real estate. Other new members of the board include Roberta Fuhr, senior vice president/West Region manager of KeyBank Real Estate Capital in Seattle. CREW Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in grants and is expanding its CREW Careers: Building Opportunities program.
The Seattle chapter of the Appraisal Institute named James A. Greenleaf, MAI, president of Greenleaf Valuation Group in Seattle, as Appraiser of the Year for 2005. The award recognizes Greenleaf's years of service to the institute.
Pinnacle Financial Corp. opened a new branch office in Battle Ground, at 4111 W. Main St. The branch manager is Dolly Kraus. Christine Robison and Larry Carr have been hired as mortgage loan officers. The Orlando, Fla.-based company is an independently owned direct mortgage lender, licensed in 48 states. Pinnacle closed more than $5.5 billion in residential mortgage loans in 2005.
The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties' second annual South Sound Real Estate Forecast will be held Feb. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, 15th and Commerce St.
Industry experts will discuss market niches and make predictions for 2006. Panelists include: Wilma Warshak of Colliers International, industrial; Jeff Lyon of GVA Kidder Mathews, office; Steve Heim of Simon, retail; and JJ McCament of McCament & Rogers, housing.
Dr. Lynn O. Michaelis of Weyerhaeuser will give the economic forecast. Bart Brynestad of Panattoni Development Co. will be moderator.

The International Facility Management Association's Greater Seattle Education Symposium, an annual one-day continuing education event, will be held March 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lynnwood Convention Center.
The event will focus on trends in facility design and operation, particularly rising energy costs, workforce productivity and how to improve facility performance. Continuing education points will be offered for CFM's, FMP's, IIDA, BOC and other professional designations.
The event will include a mini trade show, a tour of Lynnwood's first registered LEED-CI building and an economic lookout. Speakers include Linda Beverly of IFMA and Michael J.
