Grubb & Ellis Landauer

Todd Henderson joined Grubb & Ellis Landauer Valuation Advisory Services as managing director of the Seattle office. He was with CB Richard Ellis Valuation Advisory Services, where he was a senior appraiser for five years. He did valuations in Washington and Oregon for a variety of property types and clients. He previously worked for EF & A Funding LLC, now part of Alliant Capital LLC, as well as Henderson Enterprises Inc., a Pacific Northwest construction company specializing in industrial properties.

Agent Reboot coming to Seattle

Inman News will hold an event March 9 in Seattle called Agent Reboot, which provides real estate professionals with tips on technology. It will be at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center. Topics include using Facebook for business and using an iPad for listing presentations. Tickets are $49 if you register at agentreboot.com and $99 for onsite registration.

CREW event on recession's impact

Michael J. Parks, a frequent commentator on the Pacific Northwest economy, will speak at the Commercial Real Estate Women's March 10 lunch at the Washington Athletic Club, 1325 Sixth Ave. Parks, who owned and edited Marple's Letter, will talk about how recession has affected the region and what factors are most important for recovery. Marcus & Millichap

Glenn Gioseffi, director of Marcus & Millichap's Capital Corp. office in Seattle, arranged a $5.32 million refinancing loan for a 75-unit apartment property in Kenmore. The loan is for 10 years, amortized over 30 years with a fixed interest rate of 4.12 percent. The LTV is 65 percent. “We are seeing people move toward loans that can be locked at the start,” Gioseffi said.

BDA breakfast on apartment sector

Ilan Kantor of AvalonBay Communities and Tom Daniels of Riverstone Residential Group will be panelists Tuesday at a 7:30 a.m. breakfast about demand for apartments in downtown Bellevue. NAIOP's Thurston County networking

NAIOP's first Thurston County networking event will be at 5 p.m. Feb. 24 at the offices of KPFF Consulting Engineers in Lacey at 4200 Sixth Ave. S.E. It's free for NAIOP member and $5 for non-members.

Security buys Denver complex

Seattle-based Security Properties bought a 276-unit affordable apartment property in Thornton, Colo., called The Reserve at Thornton. Security acquired the general partner position and a majority of the economic interests from Trammell Crow Residential. It has a swimming pool, fitness center, business center and playground, and occupancy is 97 percent, Security said. The company has three other apartment properties in Denver.
