Bill Condon of Colliers International was honored as an emerging industrial leader by the national publication Real Estate Forum. Condon, a managing director and executive vice president, oversees the Seattle office and has sold and leased more than 35 million square feet of industrial space valued at more than $1 billion. Condon and Matt McGregor manage a four-person team focused on large tenant representation, and leasing and sales for landlords.
Davis Property & Investment and Schuchart Hutchinson acquired a 40-acre site in Frederickson for $2.5 million. The land is permitted for a 900,000-square-foot industrial building and could accommodate smaller buildings as well. Neighboring businesses include Whirlpool, Ikea and Boeing. Schuchart Hutchinson is a partnership of the Schuchart and Hutchinson families that specializes in office and industrial property. Davis Property & Investment was founded in 1998, and has done industrial projects in Sumner and Lacey.

Kidder Mathews opened its 12th office on the West Coast in the Sacramento suburb of Roseville, California. Kidder Mathews hired 10 brokers and support staff with experience in the area. Kevin Sheehan, an office specialist, is managing partner. Kidder Mathews also opened offices in San Diego and Phoenix this year. Kidder Mathews plans to open an office in Orange County soon and in San Francisco in a year or two.
The Puget Sound region's population is expected to reach 5 million by 2040. Josh Brown, executive director of Puget Sound Regional Council, will discuss how to deal with all these new people at a Nov. 18 breakfast meeting of the Washington chapter of NAIOP, starting at 7 a.m. at Four Seasons Seattle. CBRE has hired Jeff Grose to lead the Valuation and Advisory Services Group. He will be a senior managing director in charge of all valuation services in the Pacific Northwest. Grose has more than 20 years of experience, and last worked at Colliers International, where he managed valuation services in Portland, Vancouver and Boise. CBRE is based in Los Angeles and has more than 70,000 employees 400 offices around the world.
The Mark Co., the broker for Bosa Development's Insignia condo project in Seattle, has been acquired by Pacific Union International of San Francisco. The Mark Co. will continue to use its brand name under the banner of Pacific Union. The Mark Co. said it has generated more than $5 billion in sales and represented some of the biggest projects in the West totaling more than 10,000 units. Pacific Union is a luxury brokerage that operates in eight northern California regions. Its 2014 sales volume was $6.75 billion.
The Trails at Silverdale opens its first stores this weekend: Ulta Beauty, home fashion store HomeGoods and AT&T. The 220,000-square-foot center is the first major new retail in Kitsap County in more than 15 years, according to a press release from the developer, CenterCal Properties of El Segundo, California. Blazing Onion will open by the end of the year. Stores set to open in 2016 include Chipotle, Corner Bakery Cafe, Mod Pizza, Pacific Dental, Select Comfort, Total Wine and Verizon Wireless. The center is in the Waaga Way development district, just north of Kitsap Mall, at the intersection of Greaves Way and state Route 3.
