Kidder Mathews hires Lezlie Plastino

Plastino

Lezlie Plastino has joined Kidder Mathews' Bellevue office as a senior property manager. Plastino has more than 25 years of property management experience, and last worked at Schnitzer West as general manager of investments for a 1.2 million-square-foot office portfolio. Plastino has worked at Kidder Mathews before, managing 6 million square feet of office and industrial space from the south Seattle office. Kidder Mathews has more than 500 employees in 12 offices in Washington, Oregon, California and Arizona.

Andrea Lerum joins Tarragon

Lerum

Tarragon said it hired Andrea Lerum as a leasing coordinator for retail. Lerum last worked at CBRE, where she was an assistant real estate manager. Tarragon develops residential, industrial, office and retail projects in Washington, California and Nevada.

2 more retailers at Chambers Bay

Top Pot Doughnuts and Mediterranean Grill will open locations in the Village at Chambers Bay in University Place. Mediterranean Grill will take 2,000 square feet in the Clearview Building at 3555 Market Place W. and Top Pot will take another 1,600 square feet in that building. The Clearview Building has two vacant spaces remaining, and broker Jeff Kraft of Kidder Mathews said he has letters of intent for both. Whole Foods Market was key to luring the new tenants, Kraft said.

$41M for affordable housing

Berkadia said it originated $40.8 million in refinancing for three affordable housing properties in Washington and Wyoming. Berkadia representatives declined to provide details on the properties. Ed Zimbler and Allan Freedman of Berkadia's Los Angeles office arranged financing through the company's Freddie Mac program for the property owner, which is from Woodland Hills, California. Berkadia is a joint venture of Berkshire Hathaway and Leucadia National Corp.

LoanStar Home Lending

LoanStar Home Lending in Portland said after two years in business the Portland office has grown to 120 loan officers and 315 employees. Loan volume is projected to reach $750 million this year and the company projects it could reach $1.5 billion in new originations in 2016. The firm said in a press release that residential mortgage growth is recovering after the recession. LoanStar has branch offices throughout the West, and is licensed in Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

NEBC brownfields forum in Portland

The NEBC is holding a free brownfields forum on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 10 to noon at Refuge PDX, 116 S.E. Yamhill St. in Portland. Portland's Central Eastside has a long history of industrial/commercial enterprises. The Portland Development Commission says the area is a focal point for economic development. This forum will look at past and future land use in the district, and the role brownfields properties may play. Speakers are Troy Doss of the Portland Bureau of Planning & Sustainability, Noel Johnson of Killian Pacific, Debbie Kitchin of InterWorks and the Central Eastside Industrial Council, and Geraldene Moyle of Portland Development Commission.
